Product description
A clear glass dropper bottle with a black dropper insert, volume 30 ml, is a ready-to-use set for precise drop-by-drop dispensing. It is ideal for facial serums, facial and hair oils, oil concentrates, tinctures and diluted essential oil blends — in other words, for preparations applied in small amounts that should not come into contact with fingers or with air more than necessary.
Glass is chemically non-reactive towards its contents, so oil-based, water-based and alcohol-based formulations can be stored in it without concern. The transparent version reveals the contents and the colour of the preparation, which is appreciated with serums whose appearance is part of the result.
Why choose this set
- Drop-by-drop dispensing – the dropper delivers approximately the same amount each time, so concentrated preparations are not spilled and nothing is wasted.
- Hygienic application – the contents do not touch fingers, no skin impurities enter the bottle, and the preparation stays clean for longer.
- Safety ring – when first opened, the ring on the cap separates, so the customer can see that no one has opened the packaging before them.
- Odour-free glass – neither the bottle nor the glass tube of the dropper absorbs the scent of the contents; after washing they can be reused with a different formula.
- Visible contents – clear glass allows you to monitor the remaining quantity and the appearance of the preparation.
For which preparations is the set intended
The dropper works best with liquid and low-viscosity contents. This includes facial oils and oil serums, water-based serums with hyaluronic acid or other active ingredients, hair and beard oils, tinctures and alcohol-based extracts, diluted essential oil blends for aromatherapy, and concentrates added drop by drop to a finished cream.
Thick gels, creams, balms and emulsions with higher viscosity do not dispense well with a dropper. The dropper either fails to draw them in or they flow out slowly and unevenly. For such preparations, a jar or a pump bottle is more suitable.
The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. It is not approved for contact with food, so it is not suitable for filling food-grade oils, syrups or extracts intended for consumption.
Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. Preparations sensitive to UV radiation — for example, oils rich in unsaturated fatty acids, vitamin C or retinol — should be stored in a box or in the dark, or choose dark glass for them.
Nominal and total volume
The nominal volume is the amount for which the bottle is designed for normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them is the allowance for the dropper and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The glass tube of the dropper displaces part of the volume when inserted, so the bottle is filled to the nominal volume, never to the brim. Overfilling causes the contents to overflow around the thread when closing, and the cap will not seal properly.
What is good to know when working with the set
Before the first filling, wash and disinfect the bottle and dropper with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water in the dropper tube or in the neck would enter the anhydrous oil and shorten its stability.
Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes. Do not fill a hot phase into a cold bottle, and do not place it immediately into the cold after washing with hot water. Allow the contents to cool to at least room temperature.
The dropper combines a glass tube with a silicone bulb and a plastic cap. The contents primarily come into contact with the glass; the bulb is exposed to vapours. With undiluted essential oils, a higher proportion of alcohol or solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the bulb and the seal with the specific formulation before using the set in larger quantities.
Squeeze the bulb before immersing the tube in the contents, and release it only once submerged in the liquid. This prevents air from entering the tube and dispensing will be consistent from the start. Store the bottle upright so that the contents do not remain in the bulb.
The smooth cylindrical surface of the bottle is available for labelling; its dimensions can be found in the product specifications. The set is sold with a dropper that fits the neck. If you want to use the bottle with a different closure, select by the neck type stated in the specifications and verify the seal with your formulation.
When finished, the bottle belongs in glass recycling and the dropper, as a multi-material item, should be sorted separately.
