Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning the bottle and the dispenser and then disinfecting them with a suitable product, for example isopropyl alcohol IPA 99 % or plant-based ethanol Ethanol 96 %. Only after cleaning and completely drying the packaging is it appropriate to refill it, which reduces the risk of microbial contamination and extends the usability of your products.

Before first use, we recommend rinsing the glass packaging with warm water and a suitable cleaning agent, then thoroughly rinsing with clean water and allowing it to dry completely. Then apply disinfection of the inner surface using alcohol, for example IPA 99 % or Ethanol 96 %, and before filling again allow it to air out and dry well. For the dispenser it is appropriate to “pump through” the disinfectant solution through the system several times, so that the entire dosing path is flushed.

If you decide not to use the packaging repeatedly any more, we recommend recycling it according to the recommendations resulting from the material specified in the product parameters. The glass bottle can generally, after emptying and basic cleaning, be handed over to the appropriate container for sorted waste intended for the given type of glass. It is advisable to separate the plastic or metal parts of the dispenser and sort them according to local rules, or hand them over to a collection yard. Always remove product residues before recycling so that the recycling stream is not polluted.

Glass is generally a very stable and inert packaging material that is also suitable for formulations with a higher proportion of active substances, perfumes or essential oils, provided they are compatible with the dispenser used. We always recommend performing a short stress test – fill a smaller quantity of the product, monitor changes in colour, scent or viscosity, and verify the functionality of the dispenser over several days to weeks. In this way you will verify that the selected combination of packaging and your formulation is stable even during long-term storage.
