Yes, the packaging can be reused, provided hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling, the bottle and the dispensing mechanism must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. Only after the inner surfaces are completely dry is the bottle ready for the next filling.

For what type of cosmetic products is this packaging most suitable?

The bottle with cream dispenser is ideal for thicker and semi-thick products that need to be dispensed in small amounts – face and eye creams, treatment gels, serums with a creamy consistency, local treatments or intensive care concentrates. The dark glass also predestines it for formulations with more sensitive active ingredients that require better protection from light.

How should I properly clean and disinfect the bottle before further use?

We recommend first rinsing the bottle and the dispenser with a suitable cleaning agent and warm water to remove residues of the original product. Then allow the individual parts to drain thoroughly and dry. After mechanical cleaning, carry out disinfection – treat the inner surfaces of the bottle and the accessible parts of the dispenser with an alcoholic solution, for example the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96% denatured plant-based. After the alcohol has evaporated and the packaging is completely dry, it is ready for refilling.

How should I correctly recycle this glass packaging if I do not want to continue using it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to sort it according to the material stated in the product parameters. Dispose of the glass part of the bottle in the container designated for glass, in accordance with local collection rules. The plastic components of the dispenser should be separated and sorted into the appropriate plastic waste container, if the local collection system allows this. Before recycling, we recommend removing product residues by rinsing so that the packaging can be processed as efficiently as possible.
