Before each refilling, we recommend thoroughly cleaning and rinsing the bottle and then disinfecting it with a suitable alcohol solution, for example using the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After complete drying, the bottle is ready for refilling.

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is appropriate to place it in the sorted waste collection system according to the material specified in the product parameters. Glass parts, once emptied and basically cleaned, are usually sorted into the glass container, while plastic or combined closures must be placed in collection according to their material designation. Before recycling, we recommend removing any remaining contents and labels to the extent permitted by local sorted waste regulations.

Glass packaging generally proves effective for formulations containing essential oils or alcohol, because glass is a material with high chemical stability. However, in combination with a specific type of closure or dropper, we recommend carrying out a trial filling and a short-term storage test to verify the sealing, dosing and behaviour of the selected closure in contact with your formulation.

To ensure hygienic safety, final treatment with a disinfectant alcohol is appropriate, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or 96 % plant-based ethanol. Only after the alcohol has completely evaporated and the packaging is dry is it ready for filling.
