Gloss Black Glass Bottle, Glossy Gold Black Spray, Smoky Overcap, 30 ml

This black glass bottle with a fine mist sprayer holds 30 ml of cosmetics dispensed as a fine mist: facial toners, hydrolates, refreshing mists, hair sprays or perfume waters in a smaller size. Glossy black glass protects the contents from light, so it suits sensitive formulations, for example hydrolates with essential oils or aqueous solutions of active ingredients. The black and gold sprayer with a smoky overcap completes the dark look of the bottle, and the whole set looks finished even without any additional packaging.

The whole set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. In addition, the bottle itself has a certificate for direct food contact, while the sprayer does not, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

What the set includes

• Glass pharmaceutical bottle – straight body and narrower neck, glossy black glass that protects the contents from light. “Pharmaceutical bottle” describes the shape of the bottle, not its use.
• Plastic fine mist sprayer – glossy black and gold sprayer with a dip tube reaching the bottom of the bottle and a clear smoky overcap. The overcap protects the button from dirt and from being pressed accidentally in a handbag or travel bag.

What it is suitable for

The sprayer disperses liquid into a fine mist, so it works best with aqueous and alcohol-based solutions of low viscosity. The bottle is suitable for toners and hydrolates, face or hair mists, make-up setting spray, alcohol-based perfume waters or solutions of active ingredients for topical use. The volume of 30 ml corresponds to a travel size, a sample or a smaller pack of a more expensive formulation that is used up slowly.

Thicker emulsions, gels and pure vegetable oils are not dispensed well by a sprayer. For blends with a higher proportion of essential oils, we recommend testing the behaviour of the sprayer with your specific formulation beforehand.

Good to know

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is intended for under normal filling. The total brimful volume given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them remains as a reserve for the sprayer’s dip tube.

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the sprayer, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave them to dry completely. Residual water in the tube is an unnecessary microbiological risk in a leave-on product. The same procedure applies to repeated use. When changing the contents, first rinse the sprayer several times with clean water and then with alcohol.

The remaining amount cannot be seen through the dark glass. For products where consumption needs to be monitored, it works well to fill a measured amount and note down the filling date.

The sprayer is made of plastic and aluminium, and the bottle is made of glass. For recycling, unscrew the sprayer and dispose of it separately from the glass bottle.
