Black glossy glass bottle with a nominal volume of 100 ml, supplied as a ready-made set with a plastic dropper insert in the neck and a white screw cap. The black glass protects the contents from light, so it is particularly suitable for facial and body oils, oil serums and blends with essential oils. The dropper insert dispenses the contents drop by drop and also limits spillage if the bottle tips over.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.

What it is suitable for

Facial oils and oil serums – dispensing drop by drop matches the amount usually applied to the face, and the dark glass protects sensitive oils from light.
Blends with essential oils – massage, hair or aromatic oils where precise measuring matters.
Liquid serums and toners – thin water-based preparations flow smoothly through the dropper insert. If a larger amount is applied per use, a fine mist sprayer or a pump with the same neck type is a better choice.
Small batches and your own brand – glossy black glass with a white cap gives the whole range a uniform look without any further modification.

How the set works

Before filling, remove the dropper insert from the neck, fill the bottle and press the dropper insert back so that it sits firmly in the neck. Then screw on the cap. To use it, unscrew the cap and tilt the bottle – the contents come out drop by drop. The dispensing speed depends on the viscosity. Thin oils and water-based serums flow smoothly, thick oils flow slowly, and this way of dispensing is not suitable for thick emulsions.

Fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not up to the neck. Once pressed in, the dropper insert takes up part of the neck, and if the bottle is overfilled, the contents will overflow when you close it.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is intended to hold under normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the rim of the neck, and you can find it in the parameters. The difference is a reserve for the dropper insert, which is why the bottle is filled up to the nominal volume.

Good to know

Preparation before the first filling – wash the bottle, the dropper insert and the cap, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely.
Glass and temperature – do not pour hot contents into the bottle. Let the preparation cool to room temperature first.
Plastic parts – the dropper insert is made of PP, the cap of PP and PE. With concentrated essential oils, alcohol-based extracts and solvents, we recommend checking how the plastic behaves with your specific formulation over a longer period.
Reuse – the glass bottle can be used again after washing and disinfection. After pressing the dropper insert back in, check that it seals in the neck.

Waste sorting – glass goes into glass waste; remove the dropper insert and the cap before disposal and sort them as plastic.

The set as a whole is intended for cosmetics. Only the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact; the dropper insert and the cap do not have one.
