Blue Glass Bottle, Glossy Gold Black Spray, 100 ml

A glass bottle with a sprayer for facial and hair sprays, toners or hydrosols that need both protection from light and fine misting. The set consists of a blue glass medicine bottle with a nominal volume of 100 ml and a glossy black and gold fine mist sprayer for the 18 mm neck. The blue glass reduces the amount of light reaching the contents, which you will appreciate especially with water-based formulations containing sensitive active ingredients, with hydrosols, or with blends containing essential oils. The closure is included in the pack, so all you need to do is wash the bottle, fill it and screw on the sprayer.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. It is not intended for food use.

What it is good for

• Facial toners and hydrosols – low-viscosity water-based formulations that the sprayer disperses into an even mist without your hands touching the contents.
• Face and body sprays – refreshing waters, make-up setting sprays or aftershave sprays containing alcohol.
• Hair sprays – light conditioning waters, detangling sprays and hair perfumes for everyday use.
• Room and fabric fragrances – diluted water-alcohol blends in which the blue glass protects essential oils from light.
• Trial batches – smaller quantities for testing a formulation, where the 100 ml volume and the option to refill the bottle after washing come in handy.

Use and filling

Before the first filling, wash the bottle with warm water and detergent, rinse it thoroughly and disinfect the inside with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Leave it to dry completely with the neck facing down. Before use, rinse the sprayer with clean water and spray several times to remove any residue from production and storage.

Fill the bottle up to the nominal volume of 100 ml, never up to the neck. The brimful capacity is larger and is stated in the product parameters. The difference between the two values leaves room for the sprayer’s dip tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If the bottle were filled to the brim, the contents would be pushed out when you screw on the sprayer.

The sprayer is designed for low-viscosity liquid contents. It sprays water-based solutions, hydrosols, toners and water-alcohol blends without any problems. Thicker formulations, gels or oil serums will not pass through the nozzle evenly, and the mechanism may become clogged.

Good to know

The blue glass reduces the amount of light reaching the contents, but it does not replace storage away from direct sunlight. Store the bottle with the finished product in a shaded place, especially if it contains essential oils or light-sensitive vitamins.

The sprayer is made of polypropylene, aluminium and other plastics. For formulations with a high alcohol content or with undiluted essential oils, we recommend checking how the nozzle, dip tube and seal behave after several weeks of contact with the specific contents before larger-scale production.

The glass bottle is suitable for repeated use. After emptying, wash it, disinfect it and leave it to dry. Before the next filling, rinse the sprayer with clean water and spray so that no residue of the previous contents remains in the tube. If it retains a strong smell or has changed colour, it is better to replace it with a new one.

Glass belongs in glass recycling. The sprayer combines plastic and aluminium, so separate it from the bottle before recycling.
