When preparing cosmetic products containing water, you need to use water that is deionised, demineralised or distilled to maximise the shelf life of your products. The quality of the water used in the manufacture of cosmetic products will directly affect the quality of the final product.
Demineralised water is water from which calcium and magnesium ions have been removed. The resulting demineralised water contains sodium chloride (which is not present in deionised water).
All raw materials supplied are of cosmetic quality, unsuitable for internal use.
Demineralised water is included in most of the products we have produced and we have published instructions for their creation on our blog.
