Amber Glass Bottle, Gold White Spray, 100 ml

The amber glass bottle with fine mist sprayer, 100 ml, is packaging for toners, hydrosols and other liquid cosmetic products that are applied as a fine mist. The set is based on an amber glass medicine bottle, which limits the amount of light reaching the contents, so it is also suitable for products with plant extracts, essential oils or light-sensitive vitamins. It is closed with a plastic fine mist sprayer in a glossy white and gold finish, which dispenses the contents evenly and without direct contact with the skin or fingers.

The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact; the sprayer does not, so the assembly as a whole is intended for cosmetic use.

What it is suitable for

The sprayer works best with thin, water-based contents. The 100 ml volume corresponds to a common size for a dressing table or a cosmetic bag.

• Facial toners and hydrosols – the water phase is sprayed as a fine mist and applied evenly, without cotton pads.
• Refreshing face and body sprays – amber glass protects aqueous extracts and the active ingredients in them from light.
• Hair sprays – thin products with hydrosol, glycerine or a low proportion of conditioning ingredients are dispensed easily and do not run.
• Alcohol-based products – scented waters and alcohol sprays, where the glass does not react with the contents.
• Household sprays – scented waters for textiles or rooms in smaller volumes.

Oils and thicker emulsions do not belong in this set. The sprayer cannot disperse them into a mist, the nozzle clogs and the contents come out in a stream or not at all. For oil-based serums we recommend a bottle with a dropper or a pump.

Sprayer and dispensing

The sprayer combines polypropylene and aluminium. The dip tube reaches all the way to the bottom of the bottle, so almost all of the contents can be sprayed out. One press releases approximately 0.14 ml, which is enough for a fine misting of the face. Before first use, press the head several times until the tube fills and the mist starts to come out evenly.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The total volume to the brim, given in the parameters, is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them forms a reserve for the dip tube of the sprayer and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If the bottle is overfilled, part of the contents is pushed out through the thread when the sprayer is screwed on and the closure does not seal.

Before first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Treat the sprayer in the same way, including the dip tube, through which you spray a little ethanol and then clean water.

Good to know

The bottle can be used repeatedly. Before each new filling, wash and disinfect it again, otherwise there is a risk of microbial contamination of the fresh batch. After each emptying, rinse the sprayer with water and let it dry. When switching to a different fragrance, residues of the previous product cannot be removed reliably, so we recommend a separate sprayer for each fragrance.

Dark glass slows the degradation of light-sensitive ingredients, but it does not replace preservation. Water-based products in this packaging need a preservative just as in any other.

After use, the glass belongs in glass waste. The sprayer is a combination of plastic and aluminium and is sorted separately.
