Product description

Plastic bottle, vial shape, white, white-gold sprayer, 50 ml

A ready-made set consisting of a white plastic bottle in a vial shape with a capacity of 50 ml and a white-gold glossy sprayer. The sprayer disperses liquid into a fine mist, making the set suitable mainly for light liquid formulations: facial tonics, hydrolats, refreshing and setting sprays, hair mists, perfume waters and alcohol-based solutions.

The bottle is made of PET, it is lightweight and shatterproof, making it suitable for handbags and travel. Its white wall limits light exposure to the contents. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The food-contact certificate applies to the bottle alone; the complete set including the sprayer is intended for cosmetics.

How the set works

The sprayer screws onto the bottle and seals directly at the neck. One press releases a small dose as a fine mist, so the tonic or mist is applied to the face and hair evenly without dripping. The sprayer head is made of polypropylene, the glossy gold detail is made of aluminium. The white body of the bottle leaves room for both light and coloured labels.

A proper mist forms only with liquids of low viscosity. Thicker serums, gels and common vegetable oils will not atomise into a mist and may clog the mechanism. If you are considering a light dry oil or an emulsion spray, we recommend testing the sprayer's behaviour in advance with your specific formulation.

The dip tube of the sprayer is longer than the height of the bottle. Before first use, you can trim it so that it reaches just above the bottom. The contents are then used up almost without residue and the tube will not kink at the bottom.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume for which the packaging is intended under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them provides a reserve for the sprayer dip tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the sprayer is screwed on and will seal less effectively.

What is good to know before filling

Before the first fill, wash the bottle, disinfect it and let it dry completely; for the sprayer, a few pumps of clean water are sufficient. With water-based formulations, always include a properly adjusted preservation system — the packaging cannot replace it.

Do not expose the bottle to hot water or heat sources; PET deforms at higher temperatures. With formulations containing a high proportion of essential oils, fragrance compounds or solvents, test the behaviour of both the bottle and the sprayer mechanism on a small sample — some components may soften the plastic or alter its surface over time.

The set is suitable for reuse, provided it is thoroughly cleaned and dried between refills. A flat surface on the body of the bottle is available for a label. At the end of its service life, the bottle is recycled as PET; the sprayer is a combination of plastic and aluminium, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.

Closures with the same neck type and other ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. With a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal and dosage with your specific formulation.

Frequently asked questions

Does the white 50 ml plastic bottle protect the contents from light?
Partially yes — the white wall of the bottle limits light exposure to the contents considerably better than clear plastic. However, it is not a complete barrier. For substances that are very sensitive to light, we recommend verifying the stability of the finished product in this packaging and keeping it out of direct sunlight.
How much liquid is filled into the bottle with the sprayer?
The bottle is filled to the nominal volume of 50 ml, not to the brim. The space above that level is a reserve for the sprayer dip tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. If the bottle is overfilled, the contents will overflow when the sprayer is screwed on and the neck will seal less effectively.
Can the white bottle with a sprayer be used for an oil serum?
It is not suitable for common oil serums. The sprayer is designed for liquids with low viscosity. Thick oils will not atomise into a mist — they will only squirt out in drops and may clog the mechanism. For a very light dry oil, we recommend testing the behaviour on a small sample; for thick oils, choose packaging with a pump or a dropper.
Is the bottle and sprayer set suitable for contact with food?
No, the set as a whole is not approved for contact with food. The food-contact certificate applies to the bottle alone; the sprayer does not have one. The complete combination is therefore intended for cosmetic products, such as tonics, hydrolats and mists.
Can the bottle with the sprayer be cleaned and used again?
Yes, the set is intended for repeated use. Wash the bottle with warm water and a mild detergent, rinse it, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry. Pump clean water through the sprayer several times to remove any residue from the previous fill from the tube and nozzle. Do not use hot water — PET deforms with heat.
Is the 50 ml bottle with the sprayer suitable for alcohol-based solutions and perfume waters?
Yes, the set is used for alcohol-based solutions, perfume waters and refreshing sprays, and a fine mist is a suitable dispensing method for them. With a high proportion of essential oils or fragrance compounds in the formulation, we recommend testing on a small sample in advance to confirm that the contents do not alter the plastic surface or the function of the nozzle.
