Product description

A glass bottle 100 ml with a black cream dispenser pump is a complete set for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic products dispensed in small, even doses. Glass is inert to its contents: it does not react with oils, alcohol or essential oils and does not allow fragrance to permeate. The dispenser allows product to be dispensed without touching it with fingers.

The set is particularly suited for serums, facial oils, lighter creams, and face or body lotions. As a complete set, it is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The food-contact certificate applies to the glass bottle alone; the complete set with dispenser is intended for cosmetics.

How the dispenser works

A single press delivers approximately 0.14 ml of product. This is a small dose suited for products applied sparingly, such as a serum, facial oil, or face cream. For body lotion, several pumps per application should be expected.

After filling, the dispenser needs to be primed by pressing several times until the tube and mechanism fill with product. If the tube rests against the bottom and bends after screwing on, it can be trimmed at an angle with scissors so it draws product right down to the last drops.

The dispenser reliably draws liquid to medium-consistency textures. It will not draw thick creams, butters or balms, and products with solid particles (scrubs, clays, dried herbs) may clog it.

Suitable for products such as

  • Serums and facial oils – a small dose makes for economical application.
  • Face and body lotions, light creams – fluid emulsions that the dispenser draws without interruption.
  • Cleansing and hydrophilic oils – dispensed directly into the palm without spillage.
  • Hair serums and end oils – products where one to two pumps are sufficient.

Whether the dispenser can handle a specific texture is best tested on a small sample of the finished product at room temperature. An emulsion that thickens considerably after cooling may dispense less smoothly than when freshly made.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity for which the bottle is designed under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly higher. The difference serves as a reserve for the dispenser body with tube and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling would cause the dispenser to push some product out through the neck when screwed on, soiling the thread and label.

What is good to know

  • Preparation before first fill – wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or ethanol and allow it to dry completely. Flush the pump with a few presses of the disinfectant and let the dip tube dry as well.
  • Glass and temperature – glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes. Do not pour a hot product into a cold bottle; let it cool first to a temperature at which it still flows easily.
  • Plastic pump and product composition – polypropylene is compatible with common cosmetic formulations. With a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend testing the pump's behaviour with the specific formulation.
  • Preservation – the pump limits hand contact with the product, but each press introduces air into the bottle. Water-containing products must be preserved in the same way as in any other packaging.
  • Reuse – the glass bottle can be refilled after thorough washing and disinfection. The pump mechanism is difficult to clean on the inside, so when changing products it is better to use a new one.
  • Label – the dimensions needed for label design are listed in the bottle's specifications.
  • Recycling – the bottle is recycled as glass; the pump should be separated as plastic before sorting.

Other closures with the same neck type (listed in the specifications) and ready-made combinations are available in the Handymade range. For custom combinations, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing performance, and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.

Frequently asked questions

What is the 100 ml glass bottle with cream dispenser suitable for?
The 100 ml glass bottle with cream dispenser is suited for liquid to medium-consistency cosmetic products, particularly serums, facial oils, light creams, and face or body lotions. The dispenser delivers small, even doses and product is dispensed without touching it with fingers. For thick creams, butters, and products with solid particles, a jar is more appropriate as the dispenser will not draw them or may become clogged.
How much product does the cream dispenser deliver per pump?
The cream dispenser delivers approximately 0.14 ml of product per pump. This dose is suitable for products applied sparingly, such as a serum or facial oil. For body lotion, multiple pumps are needed. The actual amount depends slightly on the viscosity of the product, so it is advisable to verify this with the finished formulation.
Can the glass bottle with cream dispenser be used for food?
No, the glass bottle and cream dispenser set is intended for cosmetic products, not for food. The food-contact certificate applies to the glass bottle alone; the plastic dispenser does not hold one. For home oils, syrups, or herbal infusions, the bottle should be combined with a closure approved for food contact.
How do I prepare the glass bottle with dispenser before filling?
Before filling, wash the glass bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol, and allow it to dry completely. Flush the dispenser by pressing it several times with the disinfectant and allow the tube to dry as well. Any residual water or alcohol in the packaging could dilute the product or affect its stability, so fill only into dry packaging.
Is the glass bottle with cream dispenser suitable for products with essential oils?
Yes, at standard cosmetic concentrations of essential oils, the glass bottle with cream dispenser is suitable. Glass does not react with essential oils, and the polypropylene dispenser tolerates typical cosmetic formulations. For products with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend testing in advance whether the dispenser still dispenses and seals properly after several weeks of contact.
