Gloss Black Glass Bottle, Glossy Silver White Spray, 15 ml

Glass bottle with a fine mist sprayer for toners, facial mists, hydrosols and eau de parfum, in a small size for travel, samples or test batches. The glossy black glass protects the contents from light, so it also suits formulations that are sensitive to light, for example aqueous solutions with vitamins or plant extracts. The set is supplied complete: a medicine bottle with a nominal volume of 15 ml and a white and silver sprayer, so you do not need to buy a closure separately or match it to the thread.

What it is suitable for

The sprayer releases a fine mist when pressed, so the set is intended for liquid, low-viscosity contents. It is most often filled with facial and hair toners, hydrosols, refreshing mists, eau de parfum and eau de toilette, or alcohol-based hand products. One press dispenses approximately 0.14 ml, so small amounts are applied precisely and without spilling.

Thick oils, gel-like serums and thickened solutions are dispensed poorly through the nozzle, and the mechanism may become blocked. A bottle with a dropper or a pump is more suitable for such contents.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them leaves room for the sprayer tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If it were filled up to the neck, the contents would be pushed out through the thread once the sprayer is fitted.

Good to know

• Light and stability – opaque glass limits the amount of light reaching the contents, but it does not replace a preservative or an antioxidant in a water-based formulation. The contents remain stable only to the extent that the formulation itself stabilises them.
• Temperature – do not fill the glass with hot contents and do not expose it to sudden changes in temperature. Pour in toners and mists only after they have cooled.
• Sprayer material – the mechanism is made of polypropylene and aluminium. It is commonly used with alcohol-based contents and eau de parfum. For undiluted essential oils, formulations with a higher proportion of them and solvents, we recommend checking suitability beforehand with your specific formulation.
• Reuse – after washing and disinfection, the bottle can be filled again. Before further use, rinse the sprayer with clean water or ethanol and pump it several times without liquid. If the mechanism stops sealing or spraying evenly, replace it.

• Recycling – glass goes with glass; the plastic and aluminium sprayer is unscrewed before disposal and sorted separately.
