Amber Glass Bottle, Silver White Spray, 15 ml

The set consists of a brown glass bottle with a volume of 15 ml and a white-silver spray pump that releases the contents as a fine mist. Brown glass blocks light, making the set suitable for contents that lose fragrance or change colour in light: facial tonics, hydrolats, perfume waters, refreshing sprays and water-dilutable active serums in spray form. The small volume is ideal for samples, travel packaging or first trial batches when you want to test a formulation's behaviour before filling a larger quantity.

The spray pump is white with silver details, so the set looks clean even without a label. Both components are declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The set is not approved for food contact and is used exclusively for cosmetics and fragrance preparations.

How the set works

• Protection of contents from light – brown glass lets through less light than clear glass, which helps preserve the fragrance and stability of sensitive ingredients such as hydrolats or plant extracts.
• Dosing – one press releases approximately 0.14 ml, which is enough to distribute tonic evenly across the skin without dripping.
• Glass resistance – also suitable for alcohol-based perfume waters and preparations containing essential oils, which could over time alter the properties of a plastic container.
• Refilling – the spray pump unscrews, the bottle is washed and the set can be used again.

Filling and volume

The nominal volume of 15 ml is the quantity the bottle is designed for under normal filling conditions. The total capacity to the brim is greater and can be found in the specifications. The difference between the two values provides headspace for the dip tube and spray mechanism and for expansion of the contents when temperature changes. Fill therefore to the nominal volume. If filled to the neck, the contents will be pushed out when the spray pump is fitted.

What is good to know

The spray pump works best with low-viscosity liquids: water, hydrolats, tonics, alcohol solutions and perfume waters. Oils, thick serums and emulsions are difficult to spray through the nozzle, come out in drops or clog it. If the formulation contains a small amount of oil, check whether a solubiliser keeps it in solution. If phases separate, shake the contents before each use.

With concentrated fragrance compositions and a high proportion of essential oils, we recommend monitoring the plastic part of the spray pump for several weeks. Glass tolerates these substances without change; the plastic parts may discolour or soften over time.

Trim the dip tube of the spray pump if needed by cutting at an angle so that it reaches just above the bottom of the bottle without bending. The set is assembled so that the spray pump seals on the neck of this bottle. When disposed of, the glass is recycled separately. Unscrew and rinse the spray pump before discarding it.
