Glass Bottle Black Glossy, White Pump, 30 ml

The 30 ml glass bottle with a lotion pump is designed for light creams, facial lotions and serums that are dispensed in small amounts, without pouring and without scooping with your fingers. The black glossy glass is opaque, so it also suits formulations with light-sensitive active ingredients, such as vitamin C, retinol or plant extracts. The set is supplied as a bottle and pump together and is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What it is suitable for

The 30 ml volume corresponds to a common pack size for facial products that are used in small doses and finished within a few months.

• Eye creams and light facial creams – a small dose per press corresponds to the amount applied to the eye area or the face.
• Serums and emulsion serums – the pump dispenses the contents without your hands touching the product, so it stays hygienically clean.
• Targeted treatments – gels and creams for smaller areas, where precise and repeatable dispensing is needed.
• Samples and test batches – the volume is enough to check a formulation in real use. The contents cannot be seen through the black glass, so any colour changes are checked after opening.

How the pump works

The 18 mm lotion pump draws the contents up through a dip tube and dispenses approximately 0.14 ml per press. When you use it for the first time, prime the pump by pressing it several times until the tube fills and the pump starts to dispense.

The mechanism is designed for contents with a cream to thinner liquid consistency. Thick ointment-like balms or creams with a high proportion of solid ingredients may pass through the tube with difficulty or not at all. Very thin liquids, on the other hand, may drip from the pump. Before filling a larger batch, we recommend filling a single bottle and checking that your particular formulation dispenses smoothly and that the pump stays sealed during transport.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume is the amount the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical capacity of the glass up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the dip tube and the body of the pump, which take up part of the space once screwed on. Fill to the nominal volume. If you fill to the brim, the contents will overflow through the neck when the pump is fitted, and the pump may not seal.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Rinse the pump in the same way and fit it only after the tube has dried, so that no water or disinfectant residues get into the cosmetic product.

Glass withstands washing and repeated use. However, the tube and the pump mechanism are difficult to clean of residues of the previous contents. When you change the formulation, especially when switching from coloured or fragranced products, it is safer to use a new pump.

When the contents are used up, unscrew the pump. The bottle goes into glass recycling and the polypropylene pump into plastics recycling.
