This 10 ml glass medicine bottle comes complete with a fine mist sprayer, ready to be filled with perfumes, fragrance sprays and toners. The black glossy glass lets through minimal light, so it suits contents that are harmed by light: perfume compositions, hydrosols, facial toners and aromatic sprays with essential oils. The black and gold fine mist sprayer disperses the liquid into a fine mist, so the set is used mainly as a travel or sample size for your own perfume, a refreshing spray for your handbag, or a small pack of toner for customer testing.

The set as a whole is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. The glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food; the assembly with the fine mist sprayer is intended for cosmetic products.

Suitable uses

• Perfumes and scented waters – dark glass slows down changes in fragrance caused by light, and the small volume is suitable for samples or travel packs.
• Facial toners and hydrosols – water-based solutions are applied evenly through the fine mist sprayer, without your hands touching the contents.
• Aromatic and refreshing sprays – alcohol or water-alcohol mixtures with essential oils, pillow sprays, car sprays or textile sprays in a small pack.
• Light hair sprays – thin, watery preparations for misting the hair or scalp.

The fine mist sprayer is built for thin liquids. Thick oils, gels and emulsions will not pass through the tube and nozzle in a way that produces a mist. For such contents, a bottle with a dropper or a pump is more suitable.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the glass up to the neck, and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between them provides a reserve for the sprayer tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim; otherwise, part of the contents will be pushed out when you screw on the fine mist sprayer.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Rinse the fine mist sprayer with clean water, spray several times without any contents and let it dry as well. Residual moisture in the packaging shortens the shelf life of unpreserved water-based contents.

When filling a small medicine bottle, a funnel or a syringe without a needle helps keep the contents off the thread, so that the fine mist sprayer then seals properly.

The fine mist sprayer is a combination of polypropylene, aluminium and other plastics. For contents with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend checking in advance whether the seal and tube change over time and whether the fine mist sprayer starts to leak.

The bottle can be used repeatedly; it is enough to wash and disinfect it. When the contents change, especially when switching from perfume to toner, the fine mist sprayer is difficult to rinse out completely, so it is usually replaced with a new one for new contents. Before discarding, separate the bottle and the fine mist sprayer; the glass and the sprayer go into different recycling streams.
