Gloss Black Glass Bottle, Glossy Golden White Pump, 10 ml

The set of a black glass medicine bottle with a capacity of 10 ml and a glossy white and gold pump is intended for small packs of leave-on cosmetics, where precise dosing and protection of the contents matter. Black glass protects the contents from light, so it suits serums with vitamins, oil elixirs with unsaturated fatty acids or concentrates of active ingredients that lose effectiveness faster in light. The pump releases the same amount with every press, and during use the contents do not come into contact with your fingers.

The bottle and pump are supplied together, matched to each other, so there is no need to choose a closure. The glossy surface of the glass and the gold detail of the pump head give a small pack a retail-ready look, which you will appreciate for travel sizes, limited editions or samples that the customer receives with an order.

What it is suitable for

• Face serums and fluids – liquid to medium-thick textures pass through the pump tube and each press gives the same dose, which helps you keep to the recommended amount for concentrated active ingredients.
• Oil serums and elixirs – black glass protects oils that are sensitive to oxidation from light, and the pump replaces the dropper where the customer does not want to count drops.
• Eye serums and concentrates – the 10 ml volume suits products that are applied in a small amount to a smaller area and are used up slowly.
• Travel and sample packs – they are filled with the same formulation as the large pack, with no change to the composition.

Filling and dispensing

The bottle has a nominal volume of 10 ml, that is, the amount it is designed for in normal filling. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is larger. The difference is a reserve for the tube and the body of the pump and space for the contents to expand with changes in temperature. For this reason, fill to the nominal volume, not up to the neck. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the pump is screwed in, or part of the contents will be pushed out around the thread on the first press.

One press releases approximately 0.14 ml. With a full pack this works out at about 70 doses, which is useful when writing directions for use, for example “two presses for the whole face”. Before first use, press a new pump several times without product until the tube fills and the product starts to come out.

Good to know

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. Only the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact; the pump does not have one, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it and leave it to dry completely. You can also run the disinfectant through the pump and then dry the pump by pressing it without product.

The pump is made of plastic (PP) and aluminium. For products with a high proportion of essential oils, alcohol or solvents, we recommend checking whether the tightness and appearance of the plastic parts change after standing for a long time.

After thorough washing, the bottle can be reused. The pump cannot be taken apart and cleaned on the inside, so we recommend replacing it with a new one when you change the filling. An empty bottle belongs in glass recycling; unscrew the pump before disposal and sort it separately.
