FAQ – Most frequent questions

Can I use this glass bottle repeatedly?

Yes, the packaging can be used repeatedly if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, we recommend thoroughly washing the bottle and the dispenser, rinsing them and then disinfecting them with a suitable alcohol-based preparation, for example with isopropyl alcohol or with denatured plant ethanol. Only after complete drying is the packaging ready for further safe use.

How should I properly clean the glass bottle and dispenser before the next filling?

First mechanically remove the residues of the original product and rinse the bottle with warm water and a mild cleaning agent. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water so that no detergent residues remain. Before further use, the packaging must be disinfected – we recommend applying alcohol (ALK001 or ALK002) by rinsing the inner space as well as the sensitive parts of the dispenser. After disinfection, allow all components to dry thoroughly in a clean, dust-free place.

Is this type of glass bottle also suitable for thicker or oil-based products?

The glass bottle with dispenser is designed for precise and comfortable dosing of products with low to medium viscosity – from watery serums through light emulsions to more fluid oil blends. For very thick creams or balms we recommend considering another type of packaging, for example a jar or a pot, so that application of the product is easy for the user and does not put excessive strain on the dispenser.

How can I safely dispose of and recycle this packaging if I no longer wish to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste-sorting rules and the information given in the product parameters for the respective packaging. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in a container intended for glass once you have removed any remaining contents. Plastic or metal components of the closure and dispenser should be sorted according to their material composition as indicated for the product. Before handing over for recycling, it is advisable to rinse the packaging so that larger residues of cosmetics do not remain in it.
