FAQ – Frequently asked questions

Can this glass bottle with dispenser be reused?

The packaging can be reused if handled correctly and if hygiene rules are observed, especially within your own production or when refilling the same type of product. Before each new filling, both the bottle and the dispenser must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected with a suitable agent, for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection you can use the products IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, vegetable. Only after complete drying can the packaging be refilled.

How should the packaging be properly cleaned and prepared before the first filling?

Before the first filling we recommend rinsing the bottle with a suitable cleaning agent, rinsing thoroughly with water and then allowing it to dry completely. Afterwards it is advisable to disinfect the packaging – alcohol-based disinfectants such as IPA 99% isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96% denatured, vegetable have proven effective for this purpose. For the dispenser we recommend pumping the disinfectant solution through the mechanism in order to flush the internal parts and then letting them dry thoroughly before filling.

How can I ensure that the cream dosing is even and without air entrainment?

For even dosing it is important to fill the bottle smoothly without creating air bubbles and not to overfill it above the recommended level stated in the product parameters. After filling and closing, it is advisable to press the dispenser several times until the product starts to emerge, so that the mechanism is vented. For new or more viscous formulations we recommend carrying out a short functional test – check the dose over several presses and observe whether the system doses smoothly and without splashing or skipping.

How can I recycle or dispose of this packaging in an environmentally friendly way if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with local waste sorting rules and according to the material composition stated in the product parameters. The glass part of the bottle can generally be placed in glass collection, while the plastic parts of the dispenser (for example the pump body, tube or cap) are placed in the appropriate plastic container, provided that local recycling rules allow sorting of such components. Before recycling we recommend emptying the packaging and removing product residues to simplify processing in the recycling system.
