Amber Glass Bottle, Slim, Silver White Spray, 50 ml

A ready-made pair for water-based spray products: an amber glass 50 ml medicine bottle and a white and silver fine mist sprayer that fits it directly. Amber glass limits the amount of light reaching the contents, which benefits hydrosols and toners with vitamins or plant extracts. The sprayer disperses the liquid onto the skin in a fine mist, so there is no need to pour the product into your palms.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. The glass medicine bottle on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food; the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

What it is suitable for

• Facial toners and hydrosols – low-viscosity water-based products that the sprayer dispenses evenly and without dripping.
• Spray serums and refreshing mists – light water-based or water-glycerine formulations for the face, décolletage or hair.
• Hair sprays – infusions, hydrosols and water-based serums for hair and scalp, where a spray is more convenient than a dropper.
• Alcohol-based products – perfume samples or alcohol-based toners; glass does not react with alcohol, but we recommend checking how the plastic parts of the sprayer behave with your specific formulation.
• Travel size and samples – 50 ml is used up within a few weeks, and it is also suitable for customer samples.

How the set works

The sprayer screws onto the neck like an ordinary cap. When pressed, the tube draws liquid up from the bottom and the nozzle disperses it into a mist. One press dispenses approximately 0.14 ml, as a guide for liquids with a viscosity close to water. Thicker products, gels or emulsions will not be dispersed by the sprayer and the nozzle may become blocked.

The sprayer tube reaches all the way to the bottom of the medicine bottle. If it rests on the bottom and bends after screwing on, shorten it with a sharp knife so that it only touches the bottom lightly. This way it will draw up even the last millilitres of the contents.

Filling and volume

The medicine bottle has a nominal volume of 50 ml, that is, the amount the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the tube and the inner part of the sprayer. For this reason, fill up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, part of the contents will be pushed out through the thread when the sprayer is screwed on.

Good to know

• Water-based products need a preservative. The sprayer limits contact of the contents with fingers, but it is not airless packaging. Toners, hydrosols and spray serums without a preservative will spoil even in amber glass.
• Glass and heat. Do not fill the medicine bottle with hot liquid and do not expose it to sudden changes in temperature, as it may crack under thermal shock. Let finished products cool to room temperature before filling.
• Reuse. The glass medicine bottle can be washed, disinfected and filled again. We recommend replacing the sprayer with a new one after longer use, especially with alcohol-based or coloured products, so that it does not lose its seal or change the dose.
• Appearance. The white body of the sprayer with a silver detail on amber glass looks clean and understated.

• Recycling. The glass medicine bottle belongs in glass recycling. The sprayer is made of plastic and aluminium; unscrew it from the bottle before recycling and sort it separately.
