Product description

Glass bottle with black sprayer, 15 ml

A ready-made set of a small glass vial-type bottle and a black sprayer with a dip tube, designed for hydrolates, tonics and perfume waters in travel or sample packaging. Amber glass filters light and protects contents that change scent or colour in light. The sprayer disperses the liquid into a fine mist, so the preparation is applied evenly and without touching with hands.

The 15 ml volume makes the set a practical packaging for samples, travel sizes and test batches. The set as a whole is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

  • Hydrolates and facial tonics – thin aqueous preparations pass through both the dip tube and nozzle without issues.
  • Perfume and toilet waters – alcoholic solutions with a fragrance composition are among the most common uses of small sprayers; glass does not react with alcohol or fragrance components.
  • Hand and skin refreshers – alcohol sprays with glycerin or hydrolate, where even, fine coverage matters.
  • Hair and body mists – light aqueous or hydroalcoholic mists without thickeners.
  • Samples and travel sizes – a smaller quantity of a larger product for testing or travel.

Use and filling

The sprayer works with thin liquids. Aqueous, hydroalcoholic and alcoholic solutions, or liquids with a proportion of solubilised oil, are dispensed reliably. Pure oils, thick serums, emulsions and preparations with a thickener will either not be sprayed by the nozzle or will gradually clog it. For these, a bottle with a dropper or pump is more suitable.

One press releases approximately 0.14 ml of liquid. From a full bottle you will therefore get roughly one hundred sprays, which is enough for several weeks of regular use of a facial mist.

Nominal and total volume are not the same. The nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is intended for during normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference provides a reserve for the sprayer dip tube and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the liquid will be pushed out when fitting the sprayer.

Before first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and leave to dry completely. Flush the sprayer with clean alcohol or boiled water and press several times without liquid so that water flows out of the dip tube.

Good to know

  • Dip tube and filling – the sprayer dip tube is longer than this low bottle requires. Before fitting, trim it so it reaches the bottom without bending; after fitting, check that it draws from the bottom.
  • Alcohol and essential oils – glass is resistant to both alcohol and essential oils. The plastic parts of the sprayer made from polypropylene withstand common alcoholic solutions; at a higher proportion of essential oils or other solvents, test the behaviour of the nozzle and seal with a small sample.
  • Thickeners and particles – gelling agents even at low concentrations alter the spray pattern and can clog the nozzle. Undissolved particles have the same effect; filter the liquid before filling.
  • Preservation – the sprayer limits contact of the contents with fingers, but aqueous preparations still need a preservative even in it. The packaging does not replace preservation.
  • Reuse – the bottle can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection. Replace the sprayer if it dispenses unevenly or if residues of the previous contents remain that cannot be rinsed out.
  • Labelling – the flat part of the body is short for this shape.
  • Heat and impact – glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes or falls onto a hard floor; let hot liquids cool before filling.
  • Recycling – after emptying, disassemble the set; the glass bottle goes into glass recycling and the sprayer into plastics.

Closures with the same neck type as listed in the parameters, and other ready-made bottle and closure combinations, can be found in the Handymade range. When creating your own combination, verify the leak-tightness, dosing and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.

The set is not intended for contact with food. Use it for cosmetic and technical preparations.

Frequently asked questions

Does the amber glass bottle with sprayer protect the contents from light?
Yes, amber glass absorbs a large portion of light and slows down the photodegradation of the contents. It is therefore suitable for hydrolates, perfume waters and preparations with essential oils that change scent or colour in light. It does not replace complete protection; storage away from direct sunlight is still advisable.
Can the 15 ml glass bottle with sprayer be used for oil?
No, pure oil or an oil serum cannot be sprayed by this sprayer. The nozzle is designed for thin aqueous and alcoholic liquids; oil will only pass through it as a stream or drops and will gradually clog it. For oils, a bottle with a dropper or pump is more suitable.
How much liquid fits in the 15 ml glass bottle with sprayer?
The bottle is intended for filling to the nominal volume of 15 ml. The total volume to the neck is larger, but this space remains as a reserve for the sprayer dip tube and expansion of the contents. When filled to the brim, part of the liquid is pushed out when fitting the sprayer and leakage may occur.
Is the sprayer suitable for alcoholic perfume waters?
Yes, alcoholic perfume and toilet waters are among the typical uses of this set. Glass is resistant to alcohol and the polypropylene parts of the sprayer withstand common alcoholic solutions. At a high concentration of essential oils, test the behaviour of the nozzle and seal with a small sample.
How is the glass bottle with sprayer cleaned before reuse?
Wash the bottle with warm water and detergent, rinse, disinfect with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and leave to dry completely with the neck facing down. Flush the sprayer with alcohol or warm water and press several times until clean liquid flows out. If the scent of the previous contents remains, replace the sprayer with a new one.
Why does the sprayer not spray on first use?
A new or freshly filled sprayer has the dip tube full of air and requires several empty presses before it draws in liquid. If it still does not spray after that, check whether the dip tube reaches the bottom and is not bent, and whether the nozzle is not clogged with a thickener or particles.
