Gloss Black Glass Bottle, Gold White Dropper, 50 ml

A ready-made set of a black glossy glass bottle 50 ml and a white-and-gold dropper that fits it in both size and thread. Designed for facial serums, face and hair oils, oil blends for nails and beards, tinctures and other liquid preparations applied in small amounts. The opaque black glass protects the contents from light, and the dropper dispenses drop by drop without unnecessary contact with air or fingers.

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics. The food-contact certificate applies to the bottle separately; the dropper does not hold this declaration, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic use. Why black glass and a dropper

• Light protection – black glass does not let light through, which helps slow down oxidation and loss of efficacy of light-sensitive ingredients: vegetable oils with a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, essential oils, vitamins and plant extracts.
• Precise dosing – the dropper picks up only the required amount, so the serum or oil is dispensed drop by drop directly onto the skin or into the palm. Suitable for preparations where a small amount per application is recommended.
• Less contact with air – when dispensing with the dropper, the contents do not flow through the neck, the bottle remains closed most of the time, and the risk of contamination by fingers is reduced.
• Glossy black surface with a white-and-gold cap – a combination that works as a finished design without further modification; one small label is all it takes.
• Glass with no interaction with the contents – the glass bottle and the glass tube of the dropper do not react with oils, essential oils or alcohol-based solutions, which plastic containers may not always handle.

What the set is suitable for

Facial serums and oil serums – liquid and mildly viscous preparations applied drop by drop. The dropper picks up an exact dose and the dark glass protects the active ingredients.

Face, hair and body oils in small volume – 50 ml corresponds to a typical size for a facial oil of which a few drops are used daily. Also suitable for cuticle oils, beard oils and diluted essential oil blends in a carrier oil.

Tinctures and alcohol extracts – drop dosing and an opaque container also suit alcohol-based preparations. Glass handles alcohol without any issues.

Less suitable are thick gels, creams and emulsions with higher viscosity. The dropper will not pick them up or they cannot be dispensed evenly. For such products, a jar or a pump bottle is a better choice.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the volume for which the bottle is designed under standard filling. Total volume to the brim is the physical capacity up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them is a reserve for the dropper, which takes up some space when screwed in, and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Overfilling causes the dropper to push the contents out through the neck and the bottle will not seal. What is worth knowing

Preparation before first filling – we recommend washing the bottle, disinfecting it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allowing it to dry completely. Disassemble the dropper, rinse the tube and bulb, and leave to dry. Residual water in an oil-based or anhydrous product promotes microbial growth.

Repeated use – the glass can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection. With the dropper, monitor the condition of the bulb and seal. If it no longer holds suction or smells of the previous contents, replace it.

Labelling – labels with good adhesive adhesion are recommended for the glossy black surface. Since the contents are not visible, a label with the name and filling date is practically a necessity.

Material sensitivity – glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes, so do not pour hot contents into a cold bottle. The plastic and silicone parts of the dropper are in contact with the contents only through the bulb and seal, but with concentrated essential oils or solvents we recommend monitoring their behaviour over time.

Transport – the dropper is not a hermetic closure like a solid cap. Transport the bottle upright and, when shipping to customers, consider additional securing to prevent the contents from spilling.

Recycling – the bottle belongs in glass recycling. The dropper is a combination of glass, plastic, aluminium and silicone, so it should be sorted separately from glass.
