Clear Glass Bottle, Silver Aluminium Cap, 50 ml

A glass bottle with an aluminium cap is a complete packaging and closure set with a nominal volume of 50 ml, ready to fill without searching for a suitable cap. Clear glass lets you see the contents, making it suitable where the colour or clear appearance of the product is meant to speak for itself. The aluminium cap with an inner sealing insert closes the bottle easily and gives it a clean silver look.

The set is particularly suitable for facial oils, serums, tonics, hydrolats, tinctures and samples of creams or emulsions in smaller volumes. The bottle has an 18/410 thread, the standard cap size for small cosmetic packaging.

What can be filled into the bottle

The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. It is suitable for oil serum, facial or massage oil, tonic, hydrolat, tincture, hair oil, or a cream sample sent to a customer for testing. With thicker creams, keep in mind that the narrow neck makes filling and extracting the contents more difficult. In that case, a jar is more practical.

The bottle alone has a certificate for direct contact with food; the aluminium cap does not. The set as a whole is therefore intended for cosmetics. If you need packaging for homemade oil, syrup or herbal extract, combine the bottle with a cap that has its own food-grade certificate.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity for which the bottle is intended under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference between them provides a margin for the cap and for expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. Good to know

Before the first fill, wash both the bottle and cap, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water in an oil-based product may cause cloudiness or promote microbial growth.

Tighten the aluminium cap by hand, not by force. Over-tightening can deform the sealing insert and reduce its effectiveness. With alcohol tinctures and products with a higher content of essential oils, we recommend verifying the cap seal with the specific formulation before producing a larger batch.

Glass is sensitive to sudden temperature changes. Do not fill the bottle with hot contents and do not move it directly from a cold environment into warm water. When disinfecting with warm water, allow the packaging to cool down gradually.

Label dimensions are listed in the specifications. The flat part of the bottle provides space for a standard label with the product name, ingredients and batch number.

Glass belongs in sorted glass waste collection, the aluminium cap in metals. Empty the packaging and unscrew the cap before recycling.
