Gloss Black Glass Bottle, White Oral Spray, 10 ml

The glossy black glass bottle with oral sprayer, 10 ml, combines a small glass medicine bottle and a pump that sprays the contents in a measured dose. The set is suitable for liquid cosmetic products applied in small amounts: refreshing mouth sprays, facial and hair tonics, hydrosols, alcohol-based fragrance samples or travel packs. The black glass protects the contents from light, so it is also suitable for formulations with essential oils, extracts or fragrances that are sensitive to light. The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. In addition, the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct food contact, but the pump does not, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics.

What it is suitable for

The pump only works with contents that can be drawn up through the dip tube and pushed through the nozzle. It suits water-based, hydrosol and alcohol formulations with low viscosity, as well as light oil sprays. Thick serums, gels and emulsions cannot be drawn up by the pump, or they clog it.

• Mouth sprays and breath fresheners – cosmetic oral hygiene products where a small, precise dose is needed.
• Tonics and facial mists – a volume of 10 ml is enough for a sample or a pack to carry in your handbag.
• Hair and skin tonics with alcohol – the glass withstands ethanol without any problem. We recommend testing on a trial piece how the plastic dip tube and pump behave with a higher proportion of alcohol or essential oils.
• Fragrance samples – dark glass protects fragrance compositions from light, and a dose of approximately one tenth of a millilitre lets you try the fragrance without waste.

Filling and volume

The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the dip tube and pump and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim, otherwise the contents will overflow when the pump is screwed on.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle and the pump, disinfect them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let them dry completely. Residual water in the dip tube would dilute the first doses. After thorough cleaning, the set can be refilled repeatedly. It is also worth flushing the dip tube and the nozzle of the pump so that no old contents remain in them.

Glossy black glass does not show how much of the contents remains, so note down the filling date. The glass withstands normal temperatures during filling, but not a sudden change in temperature. Let hot contents cool before filling.

The pump has an 18/410 neck finish, the same as the bottle. You can find closures, droppers and sprayers with this neck finish, as well as ready-made combinations, in the Handymade range. For disposal, unscrew the pump and dispose of it as plastic; the glass bottle goes in the glass recycling.
