White Plastic Bottle, Glossy Gold Black Pump with Smoky Overcap, 10 ml

This set of a white plastic pharmaceutical bottle with a volume of 10 ml and a black and gold pump with a smoky overcap is designed for liquid preparations that should be dispensed in small, always identical doses. The pump does not spill the contents and limits their contact with air and fingers. The PET bottle is lightweight, does not break when dropped, and the white wall limits the access of light to the contents.

What the set is suitable for

How the set works

The bottle has a G18x3 neck and the pump has an 18/415 neck finish, so they seal together without any further modification. One press dispenses approximately 0.14 ml of the contents. The smoky overcap protects the pump head from dust and from accidental pressing in a bag.

The pump dip tube is supplied longer than the bottle. Before screwing the pump on for the first time, trim the tube with an angled cut so that it reaches just above the bottom. The pump will then draw up even the last remnants of the contents, and the tube will not bend when the pump is screwed on.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is always slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the pump dip tube, which takes up part of the space, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. Therefore, fill the bottle up to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If it is overfilled, the contents are pushed out through the neck when the pump is screwed on.

Good to know

The certificate for direct food contact applies to the bottle only. The pump does not have it, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetics, not for food. The declaration of suitability for contact with cosmetics applies to the bottle. For the pump, we recommend checking its behaviour with your specific formulation in advance.

Before the first filling, rinse the bottle, disinfect it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, and let it dry completely. Rinse the pump with clean water with a little alcohol, press it several times without any contents, and let it dry. The set can be reused. With oil fills, clean the pump thoroughly after emptying it, as dried oil will block the mechanism.

The bottle is made of PET, and the pump combines polypropylene and aluminium. Before disposal, unscrew the pump from the bottle and dispose of it separately, as clean PET is easier to recycle.
