Product description

A ready-made set for samples, testers and travel packaging: a white plastic bottle with a volume of 10 ml and an attached white sprayer. You get a container ready to fill, without searching for a cap or checking whether the thread fits.

The sprayer disperses the liquid contents into a fine mist, making it suitable for facial mists, tonics, refreshing body sprays, alcoholic perfume waters, hand sanitiser sprays or thin hair sprays. The white opaque plastic limits light exposure to the contents, which you will appreciate with hydrolats and tonics containing active ingredients. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics, and the declaration of conformity can be found with each component.

What you get with the bottle and sprayer combination

  • Dosing without contact with the contents – the sprayer releases a small, consistently equal amount with each press. The contents do not come into contact with hands, and the risk of contamination is lower than when opening a cap.
  • Light protection – the white opaque wall slows the degradation of light-sensitive ingredients, such as essential oils in an aqueous or alcoholic base, plant extracts or vitamins.
  • Low weight and break resistance – the plastic bottle withstands being dropped into a handbag or backpack, which is crucial for samples and travel packaging.
  • Complete set – the bottle and sprayer have the same neck type and the thread is matched, so you do not need to combine them yourself.

What contents is the set suitable for

The sprayer works reliably with aqueous and alcoholic contents of low viscosity: hydrolats, tonics, micellar waters, perfume waters with alcohol, salt solutions, thin water-based serums. With oil-based contents, viscosity matters. Light dry oils and thin oil blends can be sprayed, but thick oils and butters are beyond the sprayer's capacity and the nozzle clogs. Gels, emulsions and anything with particles are not suitable for this set.

PET resists common cosmetic bases including solutions with ethanol. For contents with a high proportion of undiluted essential oils or solvents, we recommend testing the container's behaviour in advance, as the plastic may soften over time or absorb the scent.

The sprayer tube is supplied at a length intended for taller bottles. Before first use, trim it so that it sits just above the bottom of the bottle — ideally with an angled cut — so it does not seal against the bottom and can draw out the contents completely.

Nominal volume and filling reserve

The nominal volume is the volume for which the bottle is intended for normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and is always larger. The difference forms the reserve for the tube and the sprayer mechanism and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the sprayer is screwed on, and alcoholic contents can push liquid through the nozzle in warm conditions.

What is good to know

  • Preparation before first filling – rinse both the bottle and the sprayer, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. For the sprayer, pump the disinfectant solution through with several presses and then flush it with clean water.
  • Repeated use – the set can handle repeated filling with the same type of contents. When changing scent or formulation, pump the sprayer thoroughly, otherwise residues of the previous contents in the tube and nozzle will mix with the new one.
  • Preservation of aqueous contents – the container alone does not ensure microbial stability, it only reduces hand contact. For aqueous contents, consider a preservation system.
  • Heat – PET is not designed for hot filling. Allow the contents to cool to room temperature before filling, otherwise the bottle will deform.
  • Recycling – the bottle is made of PET, the sprayer of PP. Before disposal, separate them so that each can go into its own material stream.

The food contact certificate applies only to the bottle on its own. The sprayer does not have it, so the set as a whole is not approved for food use and is intended for cosmetics.

Frequently asked questions

Does the white 10 ml plastic bottle protect the contents from light?
Yes, white opaque PET lets through less light than clear plastic or clear glass. Light-sensitive ingredients, such as essential oils in tonics, plant extracts or vitamin C in aqueous solution, thus retain their scent and efficacy for longer. The opaque wall also means you cannot see how much is left and need to estimate by weight or by shaking.
Can the 10 ml bottle with sprayer be used for an oil spray?
Partially. The sprayer can handle light dry oils and thin oil blends, although the mist will be coarser than with water. Thick oils, butters and oil serums with higher viscosity cannot be sprayed — the nozzle clogs and the mechanism loses its draw. With oil-based contents, always test the dosing on a small amount first.
Is the bottle and sprayer set suitable for alcoholic perfumes and disinfectant sprays?
Yes, both PET and PP tolerate solutions with ethanol, so the set is suitable for perfume waters, alcoholic tonics and hand sanitiser sprays. Do not fill the bottle to the brim, as alcohol expands more than water when warm. With undiluted essential oils in an alcoholic base, test whether the container absorbs the scent over time.
How to clean the sprayer before the next filling?
Pump warm water with a drop of surfactant through the sprayer, then ethanol or isopropyl alcohol, and finally clean water. Always use several presses to flush the tube and nozzle as well. Rinse the bottle in the same way and allow everything to dry completely. Moisture in the container shortens the stability of aqueous contents and promotes microbial growth.
Why is the sprayer tube longer than the bottle?
The sprayer is supplied with a long tube so that it can also be used with taller bottles with the same neck. For the 10 ml bottle, trim it with scissors so that it ends just above the bottom, preferably with an angled cut. A tube that is too long will bend inside the small bottle and the sprayer will then draw in air instead of the contents.
