How to work with the set

The cap is screw-on, without a dropper or insert, so the contents are dispensed by tilting and pouring. This works well for oils and thicker liquids. With very thin, watery contents, be aware that more may flow out of the narrow neck than intended. If precise drop-by-drop dosing is needed, a combination with a dropper or spray for the same neck type is more suitable.

It is important to understand the difference between nominal and total volume. The nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed to hold under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the rim is greater, as it also includes the space in the neck. That difference serves as a buffer for the cap thread and for the expansion of contents with temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the rim. An overfilled bottle will be forced out upon screwing the cap, and the contents will leak onto the thread, causing stickiness and poor sealing.

During filling, it is worth using a small funnel or syringe. The neck is narrow, and when pouring directly from a larger container, the contents can easily run down the outer wall, where they then prevent the label from adhering properly. The tamper ring is activated only upon the first full tightening of the cap, so tighten the cap only after the final fill, not as a trial.

What is good to know

PET and contents composition. PET tolerates water-based solutions, hydrolats, tonics, glycerine and oil-based products, emulsions, and alcohol tinctures well. With undiluted essential oils, strong solvents, and aggressive chemicals, we recommend not using the bottle or verifying compatibility in advance on a single unit. Some ingredients may soften, deform, or discolour the plastic over time. The same applies to the cap, which is in contact with the contents at the thread and when the bottle is tipped.

Heat. PET is not intended for hot filling. Fill products once they have cooled down. Allow solidifying mixtures, such as balms and butters, to set outside the bottle, and only add what remains liquid. Do not boil or oven-dry the bottle.

Reuse. The bottle can be reused after thorough washing and disinfection. It is not suitable for alternating completely different contents, for example an essential oil followed by a facial serum, as PET may partially retain the scent.

Labelling. The smooth white wall accepts self-adhesive labels well, and the white background allows colours to stand out. Adhesive does not hold well on a greasy surface, so degrease the bottle before labelling.
