Product description

A brown plastic dropper bottle with pump dispenser, 30 ml, is a complete ready-to-use set for lighter cosmetic products dispensed in small amounts – facial serums, fluids, emulsions, facial milks, and treatment oils. The bottle made of PET is lightweight and shatterproof, making it suitable for the bathroom, handbag, and travel, and the brown tint filters light, which benefits light-sensitive ingredients. The dispenser in a black-and-gold glossy finish with a transparent cap delivers a measured dose from the bottle without opening and without finger contact with the contents.

Why choose this set

  • Hygienic dispensing – contents are pumped from the bottle by pressing the head, not by pouring or scooping with fingers. The product is less exposed to air and microbes than in an open jar, which helps stability especially with emulsions and serums.
  • Measured dose – each press releases the same small amount (exact dose volume is listed in the specifications). Suitable for concentrated serums or oils where a few drops to several presses are enough for one application.
  • Light protection – brown plastic blocks part of the light spectrum. It is not a complete barrier like an opaque container, but compared to a clear bottle it benefits the contents, especially if the formulation contains plant oils, vitamins, or botanical extracts.
  • Lightweight and durable material – PET does not crack on impact and weighs a fraction of glass. A practical advantage for mail-order sales and travel packaging.
  • Transparent cap – the dispenser cover protects the head from dust and accidental pressing in a bag, while also allowing you to see whether the head is clean and free of dried product.

Suitable products

The set is intended for contents with low to medium viscosity that the dispenser can draw and dispense without difficulty: facial and hair serums, light W/O and O/W emulsions with a fluid consistency, fluids, facial milks, liquid blemish correctors, treatment facial and hair oils, or oil serums for nails and cuticles. Volume of 30 ml corresponds to a standard serum packaging for several weeks of use and is also suitable for samples or travel versions of larger products.

Thick creams, butters, gels with high viscosity, or products with solid particles (scrubs, suspensions with undissolved powders) are difficult to pump through a dispenser or clog it. For such formulations, a jar or wide-mouth bottle is more appropriate.

The complete set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The bottle has a separate food-contact approval; the dispenser does not, so the set is not intended for food use.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the amount the bottle is designed for during standard filling. The physical volume up to the neck is larger – the difference provides a reserve for the submerged dip tube of the dispenser, for air above the liquid level, and for expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Therefore, fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If overfilled, the contents will be forced out through the neck when the dispenser is screwed on and the thread will remain soiled.

After filling, first press the dispenser several times over a bowl until the dip tube and head fill with product. Only then does it dispense evenly. When fitting for the first time, check that the dip tube reaches the bottom and is not bent; if it extends beyond the bottom, trim it with a diagonal cut.

What is good to know

Preparation before filling. Before first use, rinse the new container, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Do not disassemble the dispenser – simply pump a small amount of alcohol through it, then clean water, and allow to dry so no solvent residue remains in the head.

Compatibility with contents. PET handles aqueous formulations, emulsions, common plant oils, and alcoholic solutions at typical concentrations well. With pure essential oils, highly concentrated fragrance compositions, or strong solvents (acetone, limonene and similar terpene components at high proportions), the material may cloud or soften. Such contents do not belong in plastic or deserve a test in a small quantity.

The dispenser combines plastic and aluminium. With formulations of low pH, high salt content, or chelating agents, monitor during stability testing whether a colour change in the product or a precipitate in the head occurs – this is a signal that the contents are reacting with the dispenser components.

Residue at the bottom. The dispenser cannot pump out all contents completely; a small amount below the end of the dip tube will remain in the bottle. Account for this with expensive serums and retrieve the remainder after unscrewing the dispenser.

Not completely airtight. After pressing, the dispenser draws air back into the bottle. For products very sensitive to oxidation (for example serums with vitamin C in the form of ascorbic acid), consider airless packaging or a shorter shelf life.

Label. The cylindrical shape with a smooth wall is easy to label. Standard self-adhesive labels adhere to PET; for oil-based products, choose a label with a strong adhesive and laminate.

Reuse and recycling. The bottle can be reused after cleaning; check the dispenser periodically after extended use with oils to ensure it seals and does not stick. The bottle is made of PET, the dispenser combines plastic and aluminium – separate them before disposal.

Frequently asked questions

Does the brown 30 ml plastic bottle protect contents from light?
Partially yes. The brown colouring of the PET reduces light penetration and slows light-induced changes in oils, vitamins, and extracts compared to a clear bottle. It is not a complete barrier like an opaque or metal container, however, so store the product away from direct sunlight anyway, and for formulations very sensitive to light, plan for a shorter shelf life.
Can the brown 30 ml dropper bottle be used for thick creams?
No, it is not suitable for thick creams. The dispenser is designed for liquid to medium-viscosity products – serums, emulsions, milks, oils. A thick cream or butter cannot be drawn by the head, or it may clog it and dispensing becomes uneven. For thick textures, choose a jar, pot, or bottle with a wider neck and cap.
Is the 30 ml plastic dropper bottle suitable for food?
Not as a complete set. The brown bottle has a separate food-contact approval; the dispenser does not, so the assembly as a whole is not suitable for home oils, syrups, or other food products. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products and is intended for those.
Why does the 30 ml plastic dropper bottle only dispense after several presses?
Because the dip tube and dispenser head are empty after assembly and must first fill with product. A few presses over a bowl is the normal procedure with every new dispenser. If the dispenser still does not draw after multiple presses, check that the dip tube reaches the bottom and that the dispenser is properly tightened so it does not draw air alongside the thread.
Can I fill the 30 ml PET bottle with essential oils or alcohol?
PET tolerates alcohol at typical concentrations (tonics, facial waters, hydrolat sprays with an ethanol content). Pure essential oils and fragrance compositions at high concentrations, however, can cloud or soften the plastic, so do not fill them undiluted into this container. For formulations with a higher proportion of fragrance substances, a compatibility test in a small quantity and monitoring for several weeks is recommended.
