You offer many types of packaging – how can I find the right one for my product?

To select the right bottle, jar or other packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter in the packaging categories. After clicking on the relevant category, the filter is located at the top of the page and allows you to sort products according to several parameters, such as neck, size, colour or material. Thanks to this, you can quickly narrow down the range to packaging that best matches your formulation and the required dosing method.

Is it possible to use this glass bottle repeatedly?

The glass bottle is suitable for repeated use, provided that you follow basic hygiene principles. Before each new filling, it is necessary to clean the packaging thoroughly and then disinfect it with an appropriate agent, for example isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. For disinfection, you can use the products IPA 99 – isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96, which you can find in the raw materials category on the Handymade website. Only after the packaging has been completely cleaned and dried is it suitable to refill it with new contents.

How to properly clean and disinfect the bottle before further use?

Before repeated use of the packaging, we first recommend mechanical cleaning – rinsing with a suitable cleaning solution or warm water with detergent and then thorough rinsing. After washing, the surface and the interior of the bottle should be disinfected, ideally using isopropyl alcohol or denatured ethanol of plant origin, which are available on Handymade in the form of concentrates. It is appropriate to use, for example, the product IPA 99 isopropyl alcohol (relative link: /ipa-99-isopropyl-alkohol-1-l/) or Ethanol 96 denatured plant‑based (relative link: /etanol-96-denaturovany-rastlinny-1-l/). After applying the alcohol, allow the packaging to air‑dry and only then refill it.

What should I pay attention to when filling and storing liquids in a glass bottle with a safety cap?

When filling, it is important not to exceed the recommended filling level, so that there is space left for safe closing of the cap and proper functioning of the safety lock. It is recommended to avoid strong thermal shocks – do not fill very hot contents into cold glass and vice versa. For storage, place the bottle in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. After filling, always check whether the cap is firmly tightened and the safety lock has engaged properly, in order to minimise the risk of leakage of the contents.

How to safely dispose of and recycle the glass bottle if I do not want to use it further?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, it is recommended to recycle it according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters on the Handymade website. The glass bottle can generally be placed, after emptying and basic rinsing, into the container intended for glass, while the plastic cap belongs in the container for plastics, unless stated otherwise. Before disposal, check whether there are no product residues left on the packaging, and follow the current local rules for waste sorting in order to ensure effective recovery of the material in the recycling process.
