Product description
Calendula extract is produced from the flowers of pot marigold (Calendula officinalis) macerated in propylene glycol. Thanks to this method of extraction, important active substances soluble in both water and alcohol, such as flavonoids, triterpenoids and saponins, are preserved.
Calendula extract has strong anti-inflammatory effects that help to reduce skin irritation and redness. It has a soothing action and is therefore suitable for sensitive or reactive skin. Its healing properties support skin renewal in the case of minor injuries, abrasions, burns or rashes. Thanks to the content of naturally occurring antimicrobial compounds it helps to protect the skin against bacterial and fungal infection.
At the same time, it promotes skin regeneration, contributing to faster healing and an improved appearance.
This extract is ideal for use in various cosmetic and dermatological products intended for the treatment of sensitive, damaged or irritated skin. It can be used in facial creams, moisturizing milks or gels, where it helps to relieve irritation and improve skin comfort. It is suitable for after-sun gels or aftershave products, where it reduces redness and burning. It is also excellent in regenerating ointments, lip balms or creams for cracked hands and heels. It may be added to shampoos and conditioners for sensitive scalp, where it soothes itching and redness.
Recommended dosage: The recommended concentration of the extract in the final product is 1 to 5 %. It is ideally added to the water phase during the preparation of emulsions or gels.
Store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
All supplied raw materials are of cosmetic grade, not suitable for internal use. Use appropriate protective equipment when handling.
