Amber Glass Angular Bottle, Black Fine Mist Sprayer, Black Overcap, 10 ml

The glass bottle with spray pump is a ready-to-use complete packaging and closure for small volumes of liquid cosmetic preparations applied by spraying. The square flat bottle made of amber glass is complemented by a black plastic spray pump with a protective cap, so there is no need to search for and test a separate closure. Amber glass reduces light transmission and helps protect light-sensitive contents, such as preparations with essential oils, plant extracts, or active ingredients that lose their efficacy when exposed to light.

A nominal volume of 10 ml makes this set a practical choice for samples, travel sizes, testing a new formula before larger production, or for preparations that are used up quickly. The set as a whole is intended for cosmetic preparations.

What the set offers

Suitable for products such as

The sprayer works reliably with low-viscosity contents that behave like water or a dilute alcoholic solution. The set is therefore particularly suitable for:

• facial tonics and moisturising mists with hydrolats and water-soluble active ingredients,
• perfumed waters and alcohol-based fragrance sprays in travel size,
• hair sprays and scalp refreshers with a thin consistency,
• aromatherapy room or fabric sprays,
• samples and test batches of tonic, lotion, or spray after reformulation.

Thick oils, emulsions, serums with a thickener, or preparations with undissolved particles will not atomise in the sprayer. The nozzle will clog or release only a stream. For such contents, bottles with a dropper or pump are more suitable.

Filling and dosing

Nominal volume is the volume the container is designed for under normal filling conditions. Total volume to the brim is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference provides a reserve for the submerged dip tube of the sprayer, air above the liquid level, and expansion of the contents with temperature change. The bottle should be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. An overfilled bottle will overflow when the sprayer is screwed on.

Before first use, press the sprayer several times on empty until the dip tube fills with liquid and an even mist begins to emerge.

Good to know

Preparation before filling. Before the first use, wash both the bottle and the sprayer, rinse with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water in the dip tube would dilute the first doses and could promote microbial growth in preparations without a preservative.

Temperature of contents. Glass withstands normal temperatures without change, but a sudden temperature change may crack the wall. Allow heated preparations to cool to room temperature before filling, and screw on the PP sprayer only once the contents have cooled.

Alcoholic and oil-based contents. Aqueous and alcoholic preparations are standard fills for this set. With a high proportion of undiluted essential oils or solvents, we recommend checking the behaviour of the plastic parts of the sprayer with a small quantity before filling the entire batch.

Labelling. The flat wall of the square bottle is suitable for a label. Apply the label to dry, degreased glass.

Recycling. The glass bottle goes into glass, the plastic sprayer into plastics. Separate the components before disposal and rinse the bottle.
