Product description
Glass bottle, green, with a black sprayer is a ready-made complete set for 50 ml for everything applied in a fine mist – facial tonics, hydrolats, refreshing mists, hair sprays, perfume waters or sprays for textiles and the air. Green glass partially reduces light transmission, so the contents are better protected than in a clear bottle, while also looking natural and unobtrusive, making it well-suited for natural cosmetics.
The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products, and a declaration of conformity is included in the documentation. It is not approved for contact with food and is intended for cosmetics and non-food household preparations.
Key benefits
- Protection of contents from light – green glass reduces a portion of light radiation, helping maintain the stability of light-sensitive substances such as hydrolats with essential oils or tonics with plant extracts.
- Fine dispensing – the sprayer releases a small dose as a mist with each press, applying the contents evenly and without waste.
- Glass with no interaction with contents – does not react with water-based or alcohol-based ingredients, does not impart scent or colour to the contents, and can be cleaned repeatedly.
- Practical volume – 50 ml is a suitable size for travel packaging, customer samples or smaller batches with a shorter shelf life.
What the set is suitable for
Best suited for liquid, watery contents: facial tonics, hydrolats, thermal and refreshing mists, makeup setting sprays, hair tonics, solutions with active ingredients, alcohol-based perfume waters or herbal sprays for textiles and the air.
Less suitable for thick oils and viscous serums. The sprayer is designed for low viscosity – thicker contents spray unevenly, form a stream instead of a mist, or clog the nozzle. For light dry oils or oil-alcohol blends, we recommend testing performance with a small amount.
For perfume waters and alcohol sprays, let the mixture rest for a few days before filling and filter it. Fine particles from essential oils are the most common cause of a clogged nozzle.
Nominal and total volume
The bottle has a nominal volume of 50 ml, meaning the volume for which it is designed under normal filling. The total volume up to the rim of the neck is slightly larger. This difference is a reserve for the sprayer tube, the air above the liquid and slight expansion of the contents with temperature changes. It should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the rim – otherwise, when screwing on the sprayer, some of the contents will be pushed out and there is a risk of leakage around the thread.
Good to know
Before the first fill, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow it to dry completely. Rinse the sprayer with clean water or ethanol and press it several times without any liquid so that the remaining liquid drains from the tube.
The sprayer is made of polypropylene (PP). It behaves stably with standard aqueous and alcoholic cosmetic preparations. For contents with a high proportion of essential oils, citrus terpenes or organic solvents, we recommend checking the seal and nozzle with a small sample. Prolonged contact with such substances may soften the plastic or cause leakage.
Glass and heat: do not fill the bottle with hot contents and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes. Allow a preparation made at high temperature to cool to at least room temperature before filling.
Repeated use is unproblematic with glass. After emptying, rinse the sprayer and allow it to dry. When changing the type of contents – for example from perfume to hydrolat – it is better to replace the sprayer, as the scent remains in the plastic and the tube.
Labelling: the flat section of the bottle body is suitable for a label. For alcohol-based sprays, choose an adhesive that is resistant to alcohol.
Closures and dispensing elements with the same neck type, as well as other ready-made combinations, are available in the Handymade range. For a custom combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dispensing performance and the behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation.
Aqueous preparations that are left on the skin after spraying require a preservation system. The packaging protects the contents from light, not from microbial contamination – the tube and nozzle are in contact with the contents with every use.
Recycling: the glass bottle belongs in glass recycling, the sprayer in plastic recycling. Separate both parts before disposal.
