Gloss Black Glass Bottle, Black Fine Mist Sprayer, Black Overcap, 30 ml

A black glossy glass pharmaceutical bottle with a volume of 30 ml and a fitted fine mist sprayer is ready-made packaging for spray products in a small size. The black glass shields the contents from light, so it suits facial mists, toners, hydrolates, hair sprays and fragranced waters, whose ingredients weaken or change their fragrance when exposed to light. The sprayer with a black top dispenses the contents in a fine mist, and the whole set looks uniform, with no need to buy a closure separately.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. The certificate for direct food contact applies only to the glass bottle on its own; the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

• Facial mists and toners – water-based formulations with hydrolates and water-soluble active ingredients, applied to the face by spraying.
• Hair and body sprays – light alcohol-based or water-based products where even, fine dispensing matters.
• Fragranced waters and fragrance samples – the small volume lets you test a fragrance composition or prepare a travel size.
• Sprays with sensitive ingredients – antioxidants, vitamins or essential oils at a low concentration, which benefit from protection against light.

The sprayer works best with thin liquids. With thicker oils or viscous serums, check that the mechanism draws up and sprays the contents evenly.

Dispensing and filling

One press releases approximately 0.14 ml, which for a full bottle corresponds to roughly two hundred doses. The dip tube of the sprayer is longer than the bottle, so shorten it before fitting so that it touches the bottom and does not bend. This allows almost all of the contents to be used.

When filling, distinguish between nominal and total volume. The nominal volume is the amount the packaging is intended for under normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them provides room for the dip tube and the sprayer mechanism, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Good to know

The black glass hides the contents, so you cannot see from outside how much product is left in the bottle. Simply shake or weigh the bottle from time to time.

Glass withstands cleaning and disinfection without any change in its properties, but it does not tolerate sudden temperature changes. Do not pour a hot liquid into a cold bottle; let the contents cool down first. Before the next use, rinse the polypropylene sprayer with clean water and spray it empty so that no old contents remain in the mechanism. For alcohol-based sprays and formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils, check how the sprayer behaves with your specific formulation, especially its tightness and the smoothness of dispensing after several weeks.
