Product description
A glass bottle, glossy black, with a black sprayer and black cap, 100 ml is a ready-to-use complete set for liquid cosmetic preparations applied by spraying: facial mists, tonics, hydrolates, hair sprays and perfume waters. Black glossy glass does not let light through, protecting UV-sensitive ingredients, and the plastic sprayer with black cap completes the bottle into a uniform dark appearance. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics.
The bottle has the shape of a vial with a narrow neck and a straight cylindrical body that holds labels well. The sprayer consists of a head, a threaded ring and a dip tube that reaches all the way to the bottom, so the contents can be dispensed almost entirely without residue. Both parts match each other; the set simply needs to be filled and screwed on.
What the set offers
- Light protection – black glass is opaque; the contents are not exposed to daylight or UV radiation. Suitable for formulations with vitamin C, plant extracts, essential oils or natural pigments that lose their efficacy or change colour in light.
- Glass with no interaction with contents – glass does not react with aqueous or alcohol-based solutions and does not absorb fragrance. With perfume waters and hydrolates, the scent remains clean even after prolonged storage.
- Fine mist – the sprayer disperses the liquid into fine droplets that spread evenly on the skin or in the hair and do not run. Each press releases a small, consistent amount, making the product economical to use.
- Hygienic use – the bottle is not opened during application and the contents do not come into contact with fingers. The risk of introducing impurities is lower than with a bottle with a removable cap.
- Uniform black appearance – both the bottle and the sprayer share the same colour; the set looks cohesive and carries a contrasting or dark label well.
What the set is suitable for
The sprayer is designed for liquids with a viscosity close to water. The set is therefore most suitable for:
- facial and body mists, tonics, hydrolates and floral waters,
- lightweight hair sprays with a low oil content, for example sea salt sprays or leave-in conditioner sprays,
- perfume waters and body sprays on an alcohol base,
- refreshing sprays, room and textile sprays in small packaging.
Undiluted oils, thick serums, gels and emulsions cannot be dispersed by the sprayer or will clog it. For such preparations, the same bottle with a dropper or pump is more suitable.
Filling and volume
The bottle has a nominal volume of 100 ml, meaning the volume it is designed for under normal filling conditions. The total volume to the brim is greater and represents the physical space up to the neck. The difference is a reserve for the dip tube of the sprayer, which displaces part of the space when inserted, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim; otherwise the contents will overflow when the sprayer is screwed on and the thread will become soiled.
After filling and screwing on the sprayer, press it several times without dispensing until the dip tube fills up and a mist begins to appear. The dose per press can be found in the parameters and is useful to include in the customer instructions.
Good to know
Preparation before first filling. We recommend washing the bottle, rinsing it, disinfecting it with ethanol or isopropyl alcohol and allowing it to dry completely with the neck facing down. Flush the sprayer with clean water or alcohol and allow to drip dry so that no water remains in the dip tube that would dilute the first doses.
The level is not visible. Black glass is opaque, so when filling do not gauge by eye but use a measuring cup or scale. It helps the customer if you indicate the approximate number of presses per pack on the label.
Preservation of water-based preparations. The sprayer is not an airless system. Each press draws air into the bottle, so tonics, mists and hydrolates must be preserved in the same way as in a bottle with a removable cap.
Undiluted essential oils, solvents and thicker oils may damage or clog the plastic parts of the sprayer. For alcohol-based compositions with a high proportion of essential oils, we recommend testing the sprayer's behaviour in advance on one unit.
Glass and heat. Glass tolerates disinfection with alcohol and washing with hot water. However, do not fill the bottle with hot mixtures and do not subject it to sudden temperature changes to prevent cracking.
Reuse. The bottle can be reused after washing and disinfection. The sprayer can also be reused after thorough rinsing; however, when changing fragrance, the plastic may retain a trace of the previous composition.
Contact with food. The food contact declaration applies to the glass bottle on its own. The complete set with the sprayer as a whole is intended for cosmetics.
Label and recycling. The label is applied to the flat section of the body. When the product has reached the end of its life, unscrew the sprayer and sort it as plastic, the bottle as glass.
Caps with the same thread type as listed in the parameters, as well as other ready-made combinations, can be found in the Handymade range. When assembling your own combination, we recommend verifying the seal, dosage and packaging behaviour with the specific formulation.
