Glass bottle – medicine bottle with throat spray represents a practical packaging solution for precise and targeted dosing of liquid preparations directly into the oral cavity and throat. Thanks to the high-quality glass and the special spray applicator, it is suitable for packaging formulations where gentle, even and repeatable application in small doses is important. Glass is a stable and inert material that does not change over time when used correctly, and is therefore an ideal choice for more sensitive recipes and for home-made as well as professional products.
Before the first filling we recommend thoroughly washing the glass part of the packaging with a suitable detergent, rinsing it with drinking water and allowing it to dry completely. Afterwards it is advisable to disinfect the internal surfaces – for example using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol in cosmetic grade. For this purpose you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After rinsing with the disinfectant solution, allow the medicine bottle to air out thoroughly and dry, and only then fill it with the final product. It is suitable to disinfect the spray mechanism by briefly flushing it and pressing it several times so that the disinfectant passes through the entire dosing path.
Yes, the glass bottle is suitable for repeated use if proper hygiene principles are observed. Before each new filling it is necessary to wash the packaging thoroughly, remove residues of the original contents and then disinfect it. We recommend using an alcohol-based disinfectant, for example IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or Ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based, which help reduce microbiological risk. It is important to allow all parts (glass and spray) to dry thoroughly after disinfection. For professional use we recommend introducing your own hygiene protocol and a record of the number of reuses so that you can be sure of the consistent quality of your products.
The spray applicator for the throat is most suitable for low-viscosity, free-flowing preparations based on water, glycerine or alcohol. In practice this most often means herbal solutions, mouth sprays, mixed solutions with plant extracts or with an appropriate proportion of essential oils. For formulations with a higher oil content or thicker blends we recommend always testing the spraying performance – in particular the fineness of the mist, the length and direction of the spray and any clogging of the nozzle. When developing a new product it is advisable to test the spray at different temperatures and after repeated use in order to ensure long-term reliability.
We recommend storing the glass packaging in a dry, clean and stable place, ideally in the original boxes or dividers that reduce the risk of impact. Avoid sudden temperature changes and mechanical stress that could lead to cracking or chipping of the glass. Filled medicine bottles should be stored in an upright position to ensure reliable sealing and correct suction of the liquid into the spray mechanism. If you work with a larger quantity of packaging, we recommend marking batches and filling dates so that you have an overview of the shelf life of the final products. When handling glass it is always important to pay attention to safety and to use appropriate packaging materials during transport.
If you decide not to use the packaging anymore, we recommend recycling it responsibly according to the type of material indicated in the product parameters on the website. The glass part can usually be placed in the glass container after removal of any remaining contents, and the plastic components of the sprayer should be sorted according to local rules for plastic collection. Before placing the packaging into sorted waste it is a good idea to rinse it to minimize residues of the original product. Always follow local regulations and recommendations for waste sorting and the information on specific material composition, which you can find in the technical parameters and in the packaging quality certificate.
To select suitable packaging we recommend using the advanced filter, which you will find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. Using the filter you can sort products by neck type, size, colour or material and quickly find bottles, jars or pots that match your formulation. The advanced filter also allows you to adapt your selection according to the planned dosing method or the design of your product line. If you are not sure, it is advisable to order a smaller quantity of different variants and practically test their compatibility with your product.
