Plastic medicine bottle with a practical flip-top closure represents a reliable packaging suitable for filling various liquid and powder preparations where comfortable and controlled dispensing is important. The compact bottle is ideal for smaller doses of products, samples or travel sizes, while helping to keep the contents protected from external influences and contamination. Thanks to its well-thought-out shape and construction, the packaging is suitable for home formulations as well as professional use in small-scale artisan production.
The packaging can be reused provided that basic hygiene rules are followed and the material is suitable for the specific formulation. Before each new filling, the bottle must be thoroughly cleaned and then disinfected, for example using IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. Only after it is completely dry is it appropriate to refill the bottle, and we recommend continuously monitoring whether repeated use leads to visible wear of the packaging or the closure.
Before first use and when refilling, we recommend mechanically cleaning the packaging of any dust particles, then rinsing it and disinfecting it with a suitable alcoholic solution. To disinfect the surfaces and the inner space of the packaging, you can use the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alcohol or ethanol 96 % denatured plant-based. After applying the disinfectant, allow the bottle and the closure to air out and dry thoroughly so that no alcohol residues remain in the packaging that could affect your formulation.
To select suitable packaging, we recommend using the advanced filter, which you can find at the top of the page after clicking on the relevant packaging category. In the advanced filter you can easily filter according to several parameters, especially neck type, size, colour and material. In this way you can quickly narrow down the range to packaging that matches your formula, the desired dosing and the visual style of the product.
When filling your own formulations, we recommend working at room temperature and avoiding mixtures that are too hot, as they could adversely affect the plastic material or the shape of the packaging. It is always advisable to test the compatibility of the packaging with the formulation on a smaller trial sample, especially for products with a higher content of alcohol, solvents or essential oils. Also monitor whether any changes in the product’s colour, odour or consistency occur over time, as these may indicate incompatibility between the packaging and the given mixture.
If you decide not to reuse the bottle, we recommend first emptying it completely and, where possible, removing any product residues. Then recycle the packaging according to the type of material specified in the product parameters for the given packaging. As a rule, it is appropriate to place the packaging in a container intended for plastic waste sorting, and it is practical to separate the container itself and the closure if they are made of different materials. By recycling you help reduce the amount of waste and enable the raw materials from the used packaging material to be processed again.
