A plastic bottle with a capacity of 100 ml and a gold disc top cap is a ready-to-use set for liquid and semi-liquid cosmetic products dispensed by squeezing the bottle, from shower gels to massage oils. Clear PET is lightweight and shatter-resistant, making it suitable for the bathroom, sports bag, or travel. It also shows the colour and texture of the contents.

The disc top opens by pressing on the edge of the disc and closes by pressing it back. The cap does not need to be unscrewed, and the bottle can be operated with one hand. The set is suitable for contact with cosmetic products and is not intended for food use. A declaration of conformity is available with the product.

How the set dispenses and seals

Pressing the disc reveals a small dispensing opening. The amount is controlled by the force used to squeeze the bottle wall. The tall, slim shape fits well in the hand, and the flexible PET wall returns to its original shape after squeezing.

The closed disc keeps the contents in the bottle during normal use. Before longer transport in luggage, it is recommended to verify the seal with the specific formulation, as thin oils and surfactant blends behave differently from a thick gel.

Suitable product types

Shower gels and shampoos – medium-viscosity surfactant products flow through the dispensing opening evenly and can be dispensed with a wet hand.
Conditioners and body lotions – thinner emulsions that can be easily squeezed from the bottle.
Massage and body oils – dispensed in drops or a thin stream depending on the squeezing force.
Liquid soaps and facial cleansing gels – particularly in travel or trial sizes.

The set is not suitable for very thick creams, butters, or balms. They will not pass through the small opening and will remain in the bottle, so a jar is a better choice. Very thin aqueous solutions, such as toner, flow out of the bottle quickly and are more difficult to dispense.

Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity the bottle is designed for under normal filling conditions. Total brim-fill volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is slightly larger. The difference forms the headspace below the neck.

The bottle is filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The headspace below the neck prevents the contents from being forced through the disc top when closing and when the bottle is exposed to heat, for example in a car or in sunlight.

What to know before filling

Before first filling, both the bottle and cap are washed with lukewarm water and a small amount of detergent and rinsed thoroughly. They are then sanitised with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and left to dry completely. Moisture residue inside the packaging increases the risk of microbial contamination, especially in water-containing products.

PET does not tolerate hot filling or boiling, as heat causes it to soften and deform. Contents are filled only after cooling, and alcohol rather than boiling water is used for disinfection.

The smooth cylindrical wall is suited for a self-adhesive label applied to a dry, degreased surface. The dimensions needed for label design are listed in the product parameters. Product residue on the gold surface of the cap can be wiped off with a damp cloth.
