Glass bottle, blue, white and gold fine mist sprayer, 10 ml

Small glass bottle with a fine mist sprayer for eau de parfum, hair and body sprays, hydrosols and toners. The 10 ml volume is enough for a fragrance sample or a handbag or travel size. Blue tinted glass lets through less light than clear glass, which helps protect fragrance compositions and light water-based products from a faster change of scent or colour. The white sprayer with a glossy gold detail also looks good in gift packaging or as a retail sample.

The set consists of a glass medicine bottle and a plastic sprayer, which are supplied together and fit each other. Both the bottle and the closure are declared suitable for use with cosmetic products, and the declaration of conformity is available with the product. This set is not approved for contact with food.

What it is good for

• Eau de parfum and fragrance sprays – the sprayer disperses an alcohol solution into a fine mist, and 10 ml corresponds to a fragrance sample or a travel size.
• Hydrosols and toners – water-based products without thickeners are dispensed evenly onto the face, neck or hair.
• Hair and body sprays – light leave-in products based on water or on water with alcohol.
• Samples and test batches – the small volume allows you to hand out samples of a new fragrance to customers or to set aside a portion of a recipe for stability monitoring.

The sprayer is designed for liquid contents with low viscosity. Thicker gels, emulsions and oils do not pass through it or are dispensed unevenly. Bottles with a dropper or a pump are more suitable for these.

Volume and filling

Nominal volume is the amount the packaging is designed for under normal filling, here 10 ml. Brimful volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck, and you will find it in the parameters. The difference between the two provides a reserve for the sprayer tube, which takes up part of the space once screwed on, and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume. If it is overfilled, the contents overflow through the neck when the sprayer is fitted or are harder to dispense.

One press releases approximately 0.14 ml. This dose suits eau de parfum and facial mists, where a small amount is needed for a single use. Before filling a larger number of bottles, we recommend testing the dispensing and the spray pattern with your specific formulation.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Rinse the sprayer with clean water and let it dry as well, otherwise residual water from the tube gets into the new filling. The glass withstands repeated filling without any change in its properties. The sprayer lasts longer if you rinse it at every change of filling before residues of the product dry inside it.

The sprayer combines polypropylene and aluminium. For alcohol-based contents and products with a higher share of essential oils, we recommend checking how the closure behaves with your specific formulation, in particular its leak resistance in transit and the condition of the seal after several weeks.

The bottle is also sold separately, and another closure with the same neck type, which is stated in the parameters, can be combined with it. If you make your own combination, we recommend checking leak resistance and dispensing with your specific formulation.

When you finish using it, unscrew the sprayer from the bottle. Glass goes into glass recycling, and the sprayer is sorted separately by material.
