Clear Glass Bottle, Lotion Pump, 10 ml

The glass bottle with lotion pump is a small pack for 10 ml of cream, serum or gel, which is dispensed in doses by pressing the pump. It is particularly suitable for eye creams, concentrated serums, samples of your own formulations and travel packs, where precise and hygienic dispensing without scooping with a finger matters. Clear glass shows the colour and consistency of the contents, so you can quickly see how much is left.

The set consists of a glass medicine bottle with an 18 mm neck and a black plastic pump made of polypropylene with a dip tube. Both components are declared suitable for contact with cosmetics, and the finished set is intended for cosmetic products.

What it is good for

• Eye and face creams – the small volume corresponds to the amount used up within a few weeks. The pump dispenses the right amount for a single application.
• Concentrated serums and gels – the pump draws up medium-thick emulsions and gel textures without difficulty, and the contents stay sealed.
• Samples and test batches – when developing a formulation, 10 ml is a good format for testing texture and stability before making a larger quantity.
• Travel packs – the small bottle takes up little space and you can refill it from a larger pack.

Dispensing and filling

The pump delivers approximately 0.12 ml per press. This value applies to cream textures. With very thick balms the dose gets smaller or the pump sticks, while with thin toners or oils the contents leak out easily. The lotion pump is designed for emulsions and gels; for other consistencies, we recommend checking the dispensing on a small quantity first.

The dip tube is supplied longer than the height of the bottle. Before first use, shorten it with a sharp knife or scissors so that its end reaches just above the bottom. If it is too long, it bends and the pump draws up poorly. If it is too short, unused contents remain at the bottom.

Good to know

Before first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. It is enough to rinse the pump with clean water or alcohol and dry it. Water remaining in the tube would get into the contents.

Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes. Finished emulsions are filled into the bottle only after they have cooled, not straight from the pot after emulsification. Hot contents also have a larger volume, and after cooling there may be more air in the bottle than you expected.

The pump is not an airless system. Air is drawn into the bottle with every press, so water-based and emulsion formulations need a preservative just as in a classic jar. The oil phase is protected from oxidation by an added antioxidant.

Reuse is unlimited with glass. Once empty, take the pump apart, rinse it and check that the mechanism works smoothly. Dried cream residues change the size of the dose. For recycling, put the glass in with glass and the pump in with plastics.
