Amber Plastic Bottle, Gold Black Spray, Smoky Overcap, 115 ml

An amber plastic medicine bottle with a capacity of 115 ml and a black and gold fine mist sprayer with a smoky overcap make a ready-to-use set for facial toners, hydrosols and light water-based sprays. The amber colour reduces the passage of light and helps protect contents that are sensitive to light, for example toners with vitamins or solutions with active ingredients. The bottle is made of PET, so the set is light, shatter-resistant and suitable for the bathroom as well as for travel.

The sprayer dispenses liquid when the head is pressed and draws the contents up through a tube from the very bottom of the bottle. The set as a whole is declared for contact with cosmetics.

What it is suitable for

• Facial toners and hydrosols – thin water-based solutions pass through the sprayer without problems and are applied directly to the skin or onto a cotton pad.
• Hair sprays and hair tonics – detangling spray, herbal infusions for the scalp or light conditioning sprays.
• Refreshing and body sprays – water-based or water-alcohol solutions for the skin, for example after sun exposure or during sport.
• Textile and room sprays – fragrance sprays for pillows, linen or a room, with a low proportion of oils.

The sprayer is not intended for thick products. Emulsions, gels and oils with higher viscosity do not pass through the nozzle evenly and the mechanism may become blocked. For such contents, choose a pump or a cap instead.

Filling and dispensing

Nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The total brim-full volume is larger, because it also includes the space up to the neck. This difference provides room for the sprayer tube and for slight expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle should therefore be filled approximately to the nominal volume, never to the brim, otherwise part of the contents will overflow when the sprayer is screwed on.

One press releases approximately 0.14 ml of liquid. The value is indicative for water-based solutions and may differ slightly for thicker or alcohol-based contents. With a full fill, the packaging therefore lasts for several hundred doses, which is useful for toners and sprays used several times a day.

Good to know

PET and heat. The bottle is not designed for hot filling. Let the prepared solution cool to room temperature and only then pour it in. Keep the packaging away from heat sources and direct sunlight, even though it is amber.

Essential oils and solvents. For products with a higher proportion of essential oils, fragrance compositions, alcohol or more aggressive solvents, test the behaviour of the packaging in advance on a small quantity. Observe the appearance of the bottle and the tightness of the sprayer after several weeks, and only then fill the whole batch.

Water-based contents and preservation. The sprayer limits contact of the contents with fingers, but air is drawn into the bottle when it is pressed. Every water-based product therefore needs suitable preservation; the packaging alone does not replace it.

Reuse. The bottle and the sprayer can be used again after thorough washing and disinfection. Before refilling, check that the tube is not kinked and that the head returns smoothly after being pressed.

Recycling. The bottle is made of PET and, once emptied and rinsed, belongs in plastic waste. The sprayer combines plastic with aluminium, so separate it from the bottle before disposal.
