A tall glass vial with a black-gold sprayer and a smoke-coloured overcap is a ready-to-fill complete set for spray products with a nominal volume of 50 ml. Amber glass protects the contents from light, making it suitable for preparations whose ingredients lose their efficacy or change fragrance when exposed to light. The set is intended for cosmetic products, primarily for water-based and alcohol-based preparations applied by spraying. Nominal and total volume

Nominal volume is the quantity for which the vial is intended under normal filling. Total brim volume is the physical volume up to the neck and is larger. The difference between them provides headspace for the sprayer dip tube and for slight expansion of the contents with temperature change. Fill the vial to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If you fill it completely, some contents will be pushed out when the pump head is screwed on, risking leakage under the thread. Exact values for both volumes are listed in the specifications.

• Hydrolats and facial tonics – water-based preparations with low viscosity spray best.
• Perfume and toilet waters – alcohol-based bases are fully compatible with glass and a 50 ml volume corresponds to a standard perfume size for everyday wear.
• Hair mists and refreshing sprays – light water-alcohol preparations with hydrolats, glycerin or a low proportion of water-soluble active ingredients.
• Fabric and room fragrances for small areas – alcohol-based solutions of fragrance compositions, dosed with a few pumps.
• Hand sanitiser sprays – alcohol-based formulations with moisturising additives, where the compact packaging size is an advantage for carrying in a handbag.

With thicker preparations, oil-based mixtures or solutions with a higher content of gelling agents, the sprayer may not produce an even mist. In such cases, we recommend testing the spray with the specific formulation before filling a larger batch.

Working with the set

Before the first fill, wash the vial with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly and disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. Leave it to dry completely with the neck facing down, so no water drops remain inside that could dilute the contents. The sprayer does not need to be disassembled; simply wipe the outside with disinfectant and leave to dry.

Fill using a funnel or a measuring cup with a pouring spout to keep the thread dry and clean. Screw the pump head on straight and tighten by hand, without tools, otherwise the seal will be damaged. After screwing on, press the sprayer several times without content to fill the dip tube and start dispensing.

Use the straight cylindrical part of the vial for the label. For alcohol-based preparations, choose an alcohol-resistant label; ordinary paper will smear when a drop of perfume lands on it.

Good to know

The set as a whole is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetic products. The food-contact certificate applies to the glass vial individually; the sprayer does not have it. Therefore, do not use the set for food purposes; it is intended for cosmetics.

The sprayer contains plastic parts. For preparations with a high proportion of concentrated essential oils or with solvents, we recommend checking whether, after several weeks, there is any change in the performance of the pump head or leakage at the thread. With standard water-alcohol preparations, such a change is not expected.

The vial is intended for repeated use. After emptying, prepare it in the same way as before the first fill. If the pump head starts dispensing unevenly over time, replace it with a new sprayer with the same neck type.

For recycling, unscrew the sprayer and dispose of it separately as mixed plastic and metal packaging; return the glass vial to glass collection.
