Green Glass Bottle, Black Fine Mist Sprayer, Black Overcap, 30 ml

A green glass bottle with a volume of 30 ml and a black fine mist sprayer dispenses thin liquid preparations as a fine mist: facial toners, hydrosols, refreshing face and body mists, light hair sprays or alcohol-based perfume waters. Tinted glass lets less light through to the contents than clear glass, so it is also suitable for blends with essential oils or plant extracts. The set consists of a medicine bottle and a fine mist sprayer made of polypropylene (PP) with a black top. It is supplied as a ready-made combination of packaging and closure, and both components are declared suitable for contact with cosmetics.

How the set works

• Fine mist sprayer – one press releases approximately 0.14 ml of the preparation and disperses it as a mist. The small dose is applied evenly and does not run.
• Green glass – the tinted wall limits the access of light, which slows down changes in fragrance and colour in light-sensitive preparations. It does not replace storage out of direct sunlight.
• 30 ml volume – a size for your handbag, for travel, for customer samples or for a first trial batch when you do not want to fill a large container.
• Dip tube – draws the contents from the bottom, so the bottle can be emptied almost completely.

What it is suitable for

The sprayer is designed for liquids with a viscosity close to water. This bottle is therefore suitable mainly for:

• facial toners and pure hydrosols,
• face and body mists with humectants, such as glycerine or betaine, at usual usage rates,
• light water-based or alcohol-based hair sprays,
• perfume waters and alcohol-based fresheners with a fragrance composition,
• leave-on aqueous solutions with active ingredients, for example with niacinamide or allantoin.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume of 30 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for under normal filling. The total volume to the brim is the physical volume up to the neck and can be found in the parameters. The difference between them is a reserve for the sprayer’s dip tube, for the air above the surface and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes.

Good to know

Preparation before the first filling. Wash the bottle with warm water, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) or ethanol and let it dry completely. Rinse the sprayer with alcohol by pressing it several times and let it dry as well. Residual water in the dip tube would dilute the first doses.

Dip tube length. If the dip tube reaches further than the bottom of the bottle, shorten it with a sharp knife using a diagonal cut so that it ends just above the bottom. A diagonal end does not stick to the bottom and the dip tube also draws up the last millilitres.

Glass and temperature. Fill finished preparations only after they have cooled. A sudden change in temperature can damage the glass, and a hot liquid would deform the plastic parts of the sprayer.

Plastic and concentrated ingredients. Polypropylene normally tolerates aqueous and alcohol-based preparations. With a high proportion of essential oils or with solvents, test the sprayer’s compatibility on a small amount and monitor the tightness and dispensing.

Reuse. After washing and disinfection, the glass can be used repeatedly. After rinsing the sprayer, check that it dispenses evenly and that no fragrance from the previous contents has remained in it.

Recycling. Before disposal, separate the glass from the sprayer. The bottle belongs with glass, the sprayer with plastics.
