White Glass Bottle, Glossy Silver White Spray, 10 ml

The 10 ml glass bottle with a fine mist sprayer is designed for small quantities of liquid cosmetic products that are applied by spraying. The opaque white glass conceals the contents and limits exposure to light, which is useful for hydrosols, toners and perfumed waters, whose fragrance and colour change faster in light. The white and silver fine mist sprayer is included in the set and fits the bottle directly, so there is no need to choose a closure. The whole set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

A small volume with a fine mist sprayer is practical wherever a product is used in small doses or needs to fit in a handbag.

• Facial toners and hydrosols – low-viscosity water-based products form an even mist when sprayed and are applied without touching them with your hands.
• Perfumed waters and fresheners – alcohol-based compositions in travel packaging, which evaporate quickly from skin or fabric.
• Samples and testers – a volume of 10 ml is enough for customers to try out a recipe without filling larger packaging.
• Hair and body sprays in small packaging, for example for travel or a gym bag.

Thick oils, higher-viscosity serums and emulsions are applied poorly through a fine mist sprayer with a small dose. For such contents, a bottle with a dropper or a pump is more suitable.

Volume and filling

The nominal volume of 10 ml is the amount the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful capacity given in the parameters is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between the two leaves room for the dip tube and the sprayer mechanism, and for the contents to expand when the temperature changes. For this reason, fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If it is overfilled, the liquid is pushed out through the neck when the sprayer is screwed on.

One dose from the fine mist sprayer is approximately 0.14 ml. A full bottle therefore gives roughly 70 presses.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it to dry completely. Rinse the fine mist sprayer with clean water or ethanol and let it drain freely, so that no residual moisture remains in the dip tube and nozzle.

The glass bottle can be reused. After emptying, rinse the fine mist sprayer with the same solvent that forms the base of the product (water for toners, ethanol for perfumed waters) and leave it to dry. Dried residues of fragrance components in the nozzle become harder to clean over time and may affect the scent of the next contents.

The fine mist sprayer is made of polypropylene, another plastic and aluminium. For products with a high proportion of undiluted essential oils, fragrance compositions or solvents, we recommend testing how the fine mist sprayer behaves with your specific formulation: the tightness of the closure, the condition of the seals and the quality of the spray after several days.

At the end of its life, the bottle belongs in glass recycling. The fine mist sprayer is a multi-material part made of plastic and aluminium, so unscrew it before recycling and sort it separately.
