White Glass Bottle, White Nasal Spray, 10 ml

A white glass bottle with a capacity of 10 ml and a fitted nasal sprayer makes a ready-to-use set for small quantities of liquid preparations applied in tiny, measured doses. One press releases approximately 0.12 ml of fine mist, so the contents are dispensed sparingly and evenly. White glass shields the contents from light, which you will appreciate with hydrolates, alcohol-based solutions and water-based preparations containing sensitive ingredients.

Suitable uses

A sprayer with a narrow nozzle is designed for thin, water-based liquids. This set works well for:

• Hydrolates and aqueous solutions – applying a small amount to a small area without running.
• Alcohol-based solutions and fragrance waters – the fine mist spreads the contents evenly, and the glass is resistant to ethanol.
• Travel and trial packs – 10 ml is enough to test a recipe or to provide a sample for a customer.
• Preparations where the dose matters – each press releases the same amount, which makes repeated application easier.

This type of sprayer cannot handle thicker emulsions, gels or pure oils. The mechanism either fails to draw them up or produces a stream instead of a mist, and the channel quickly becomes clogged.

Volume and dispensing

The nominal volume of 10 ml is the amount the bottle is intended to hold during normal filling. The total brimful volume, stated in the parameters, is the physical capacity of the glass up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the sprayer’s dip tube and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, never to the brim, otherwise part of the contents will be pushed out when the sprayer is screwed on.

With a volume of 10 ml and a dose of 0.12 ml, you can expect roughly 80 presses from one filling. The actual number depends on the thickness of the preparation and on how much of the contents remains below the level of the dip tube.

Good to know

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely. Rinse the sprayer with clean water and let it drain so that no water remains in the tube. Residual water dilutes the preparation and may reduce its stability. Clean packaging, however, does not replace preservation of the finished product.

The sprayer consists of plastic and metal parts. For preparations with a high proportion of ethanol or essential oils, we recommend checking after a few days that the mechanism still dispenses evenly and that the fragrance of the contents has not changed. The glass itself is resistant to these ingredients.

The set is intended for repeated use. When changing the contents, it is enough to wash and disinfect the bottle. The sprayer can only be cleaned by rinsing, so when changing the fragrance or the type of preparation, we recommend replacing it with a new one. Before disposal, separate the sprayer from the bottle; the glass goes into separate glass collection.
