Amber Glass Bottle, Glossy Gold Black Pump With Clear Overcap, 100 ml

The amber glass medicine bottle with a capacity of 100 ml and a plastic pump in a glossy black and gold finish forms a ready-made set for filling liquid and medium-thick cosmetic products. Amber glass filters light, so it suits facial and body oils, serums, body lotions, liquid hand soaps, and hair and massage oils, which do not benefit from light. The pump dispenses the same amount with every press and the contents do not spill, so the neck stays clean during everyday use. The clear overcap covers the pump head so that the pump is not pressed accidentally during handling.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetics. Only the glass bottle has a separate certificate for direct food contact; the pump does not, so the set as a whole is intended for cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

• Facial and body oils – dark glass protects the oil from light and the pump dispenses exactly the amount applied to the skin, without dripping down the neck.
• Serums and light emulsions – one press dispenses approximately 0.3 ml, which makes it easier to dose a small amount of products with active ingredients onto the face or the décolleté area.
• Body lotions and liquid soaps – medium-thick products pass through the dip tube without problems and the pump can be operated with one hand.
• Retail and gift packaging – the combination of amber glass with a glossy black and gold pump can be used without further modification, and the clear overcap works as a finished closure.

Capacity and filling

The nominal capacity is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The brimful capacity is the physical volume up to the neck and you can find it in the parameters. The difference between them is a reserve for the pump dip tube, which pushes part of the contents upwards when screwed on, and for the expansion of the contents with temperature changes. For this reason, fill up to the nominal capacity, not to the brim.

The length of the dip tube is adapted to the height of this bottle, so only a small residue remains at the bottom. After filling and screwing on the pump, a few priming presses are needed until the dip tube fills and the pump starts to dispense the contents.

Good to know

The pump is designed for liquid and medium-thick products. Thick creams, butters or balms will not pass through the dip tube and the pump head will clog, so for such products choose a jar or container. The pump will dispense very thin water-based solutions, for example hydrosols, but a sprayer is usually more suitable for them.

The pump is made of polypropylene and aluminium. For products with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the pump with the specific formulation. Water-based products require preservation just as in any other packaging; the pump only limits contact of the contents with fingers and air.

The glass bottle can be reused after washing and disinfection. The pump is harder to clean, especially after oil fillings, so we recommend using it for the same type of product. When changing the contents, it is safer to replace the pump. For recycling, glass belongs with glass; the pump is unscrewed and sorted separately.
