Amber Plastic Bottle, Black Plastic Cap, 18/410, 100 ml

The amber plastic medicine bottle with a volume of 100 ml and a black screw cap is a ready-made set for liquid cosmetic products that are dispensed by pouring and benefit from protection against light. The amber colour limits the light reaching the contents, so it is used for vegetable and massage oils, facial oils, toners, hydrosols and liquid serums. The bottle is made of PET, is light and unbreakable, so it is suitable for the bathroom, for travel and for shipping to customers.

The polypropylene cap with a liner closes the packaging without a dispensing component. The contents are poured out of the bottle through the narrow neck, which is enough for controlled pouring into the palm when working with oils and liquid products. Suitable uses

• Facial and body oils – the amber bottle limits the light that degrades oils, and the volume is sufficient for a standard home-use size.
• Toners and hydrosols – water-based products that are applied onto a cotton pad or into the palm. The plain cap allows pouring without spraying.
• Liquid serums and hair oils – with thicker but still pourable textures, the narrow neck helps to dispense small amounts.
• Samples and home-made products – light, unbreakable packaging for your own blends that are topped up or decanted.

The set is not suitable for creams, butters or thick gels, as they cannot be taken out through the neck of the medicine bottle. For liquid products that need dispensing by drops or spraying, a combination of a bottle with a dropper or a sprayer is more suitable.

Nominal and total volume

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is designed for in normal filling. The total brimful volume is larger, as it is the physical volume up to the rim of the neck. The difference is a reserve for the cap and its liner and for the expansion of the contents when the temperature changes. The bottle is therefore filled only up to the nominal volume. If it is filled up to the neck, closing it pushes the contents under the thread and it may not seal.

Good to know

Before the first filling, we recommend washing the bottle and the cap, disinfecting them with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and letting them dry completely. This also applies to repeated use. The set can be used repeatedly as long as the liner of the cap keeps its shape and the thread seals.

PET does not tolerate hot contents or radiant heat. Let the formulation cool down before filling, and do not store the finished bottles near a heat source or in direct sunlight. With concentrated essential oils, alcohol-based tinctures and solvents, we recommend testing the behaviour of the packaging with your specific formulation, as plastic may change in contact with aggressive ingredients.

The bottle is made of PET with the material code PET 1 and, once emptied and rinsed, belongs in plastics recycling. The polypropylene cap is recycled separately, so unscrew it from the bottle before disposal.
