What it is suitable for

• Facial serums and fluids – water-based and emulsion serums with vitamins, peptides or plant extracts that need protection from light and precise dispensing.

How to use the set

The pump screws directly onto the neck of the medicine bottle and the dip tube reaches the bottom, so almost all of the contents can be used up. One press releases approximately 0.14 ml, which for a serum or oil corresponds to a usual facial dose. Before first use, press the pump several times until the dip tube fills.

When filling, follow the nominal volume, that is, the volume the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The total brimful volume is the physical volume of the bottle up to the neck. The difference serves as a reserve for the pump dip tube and for the expansion of the contents with changes in temperature. Fill to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Good to know

The pump is made of plastic, polypropylene and aluminium. For formulations with a higher proportion of essential oils, alcohol or other solvents, we recommend checking that the plastic parts and the dip tube do not change over time and that the pump dispenses evenly even after several weeks. Water-based serums and common vegetable oils are dispensed through this type of pump without problems.

The viscosity of the contents determines how comfortably the product is dispensed. Thick gels with thickeners or rich creams may clog the pump. Test the final formulation in one set first, and only then fill the whole batch.

Glass does not tolerate sudden temperature changes well. Let a hot emulsion cool to at least lukewarm before filling, as sudden cooling in a cold bottle may damage the glass.

After it is emptied, the glass medicine bottle can be washed and refilled, so it is also suitable for repeated filling. The pump can be reused after thorough rinsing. However, when you change the formulation, it is better to fit a new one so that residues of the previous product do not get into the new one. Glass belongs in glass recycling, while the pump is a combination of plastic and aluminium and is sorted according to the predominant material.
