Product description
A glass bottle made of frosted milk glass with a capacity of 50 ml and a white-gold glass dropper is a complete set for precise dispensing of liquid cosmetics drop by drop. It is suitable for facial serums and oils, blends of essential oils in a carrier oil, cuticle oils, concentrates of active ingredients as well as samples and smaller batches from your own production.
Frosted milk glass diffuses direct light and softens the contents into a gentle silhouette, so the bottle looks clean even without a label. Glass does not react with oils or alcohol-based solutions, does not absorb odours, and can be washed and refilled repeatedly. The set is declared as suitable for contact with cosmetics; it is not intended for food use.
Why choose this set
- Drop-by-drop dispensing – the glass dropper tube with a bulb picks up exactly as much as you need, without spilling and without finger contact with the contents. For serums and concentrates where you work with just a few drops, this is the most practical method of application.
- Frosted milk glass – gives the packaging a uniform, understated look. The fill level remains visible when held up to the light, so you can always see how much product remains.
- Material that does not react with the contents – glass is suitable for oil-based, alcohol-based and water-based formulations and does not change its properties even after repeated filling.
- Coordinated design – the gold collar of the dropper with a white bulb complements the frosted glass. The set suits a private label as well as gift packaging without any further modification.
- Right size for serums and oils – 50 ml corresponds to a standard size of a facial serum or oil for several weeks of use and is still a compact bottle for a cosmetics bag.
How the set works
The dropper screws onto the bottle neck just like a regular cap. The collar with the bulb forms the closure and the glass tube reaches almost to the bottom, so you can draw up even the last remaining contents. Squeezing the bulb fills the tube; releasing it dispenses the contents drop by drop. When tightened, the dropper seals through a gasket in the collar.
Contents with low viscosity (oils, water-based serums, alcohol tinctures) dispense comfortably. Thick gels and emulsions will not be drawn into the dropper or will not flow out evenly; for these, a bottle with a pump or a jar is more suitable.
After filling, check the seal by turning the bottle upside down, especially for oils and alcohol-based solutions. Formulations with a high proportion of essential oils or solvents may over time affect the bulb and the sealing gasket; verify the behaviour of the closure on a single sample over several weeks before filling an entire batch.
Nominal and total volume
The bottle has a nominal volume of 50 ml. This is the volume for which the packaging is designed under normal filling conditions and to which the quantity information on the label refers. The total volume to the brim is greater, as it includes the entire internal space of the glass up to the neck. The difference provides a reserve for the dropper tube, which displaces some of the contents upward when screwed in, and for the expansion of the contents with changes in temperature. It should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim. The exact values of both volumes can be found in the product specifications.
What is good to know
Before first filling, wash the bottle and the dropper, disinfect with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and allow to dry completely. Residual water in the tube or on the walls of the glass would dilute an oil-based content and could shorten its stability.
Repeated use is unrestricted with glass. Wash the bulb and the tube separately, rinse with clean alcohol and allow to dry. If the bulb has hardened or lost its elasticity, replace the entire dropper.
Labelling: frosted glass holds self-adhesive labels well and the opaque surface allows even light print to stand out.
Glass and heat: do not fill the bottle with hot contents and do not expose it to sudden temperature changes. Allow the contents to cool to room temperature before filling.
Closures: the set includes a dropper. Any other closure with the same neck type, as listed in the specifications, also fits the bottle, and ready-made combinations can be found in the Handymade range. When using your own combination, we recommend verifying the seal and dispensing behaviour with the specific formulation.
Recycling: the bottle goes in the glass bin. The dropper is made of glass, plastic, silicone and aluminium; please separate it from the bottle before disposal.
Frosted glass reduces light transmission but does not replace amber or cobalt blue glass. For light-sensitive ingredients such as retinoids, unstabilised vitamin C or oils prone to oxidation, opt for dark glass or store the set away from direct light.
