How should the glass dropper bottle be correctly prepared before the first filling?

Before first use, we recommend mechanically cleaning the packaging from any dust particles, rinsing it according to your internal procedures and then disinfecting it with a suitable agent. For disinfection, we recommend using technical alcohol, such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol. In our range you will find the products IPA 99 % and plant-based ethanol, available as IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol and etanol 96 % denaturovaný rastlinný. After disinfection, allow the container and the corresponding closures to dry thoroughly.

Can this glass bottle be used repeatedly?

Yes, the glass dropper bottle can be used repeatedly if handled correctly and if hygiene principles are followed. Before each new filling, the packaging and the closure must be thoroughly cleaned, checked for damage and then disinfected with a suitable alcohol-based product, for example the products IPA 99 % isopropyl alkohol or etanol 96 denaturovaný rastlinný 1 l. When switching to a different formula, we recommend particularly thorough cleaning to prevent any influence on the fragrance, colour or stability of the new formulation.

What should be taken into account when combining the bottle with a dropper or another dispenser?

When choosing a closure or dosing system, it is important to select components with a compatible neck and with the length of dip tubes or rods according to the type of dispenser. We recommend always testing the tightness of the closure when stored in both horizontal and vertical positions, verifying the smoothness of dosing with the specific viscosity of your formulation and checking material compatibility for products with a higher proportion of alcohol or essential oils. Combinations available directly with the product on Handymade are tested, but your own test with your formula is always an important step before launching the product on the market.

How can the glass dropper bottle be safely disposed of or recycled if I no longer want to use it?

If you decide not to reuse the packaging, we recommend recycling it in accordance with the current waste-sorting rules. The glass part of the bottle can usually be placed in the container intended for glass, and before disposal it is advisable to rinse the bottle to remove any product residues. Sort the closure and any plastic or rubber parts according to the material type specified in the product parameters. For combined materials (e.g. glass + plastic + rubber), it is ideal to separate the individual components so that recycling is as effective as possible.
