Clear Glass Bottle, Oil Pump, 30 ml

A clear glass bottle with a volume of 30 ml and a black treatment pump with a clear overcap make up a ready-to-use pack for facial oils, oil serums and other liquid oil preparations that are applied in small doses. Clear glass shows the colour of the contents and the fill level in the bottle, the pump replaces pouring from the neck, and each press releases approximately the same amount. The whole set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products.

What the set is suitable for

The small volume and measured dispensing suit products that are used by the drop, not by the handful:

• Facial oils and oil serums – one press releases approximately 0.18 ml, without overflow and without fingers touching the contents.
• Beard oils, hair-end oils and cuticle oils – products that are dosed sparingly and where a dropper or an open neck leads to waste.
• Samples and test batches – a volume of 30 ml is enough to verify a formulation with customers without producing a large quantity.

The pump is designed for liquid oils and oil blends with lower viscosity. With thicker oils, blends with a higher proportion of butters or anhydrous balms, we recommend checking beforehand that the contents are dispensed smoothly through the pump and that the dip tube does not clog.

How to fill it and what volume to allow for

The nominal volume is the volume the bottle is intended for under normal filling. The total brimful volume, stated in the parameters, is the physical volume up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the pump dip tube, which is immersed in the contents once the pump is screwed on. Fill the bottle to the nominal volume, not to the brim. If it is filled up to the neck, the oil overflows through the thread when the pump is fitted.

After use, the clear overcap is placed back on the pump head. It protects the pump from dust and prevents accidental pressing during transport.

Good to know

Clear glass does not protect the contents from light. Oils rich in unsaturated fatty acids, blends with essential oils or with light-sensitive active ingredients should be stored in a clear bottle away from direct light, or in a box. For products that are meant to stand in the light for longer, a bottle made of amber or blue glass is more suitable.

Before the first filling, wash the bottle, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and let it dry completely, so that no water remains in the oil product. To disinfect the pump, rinse it and pump alcohol through it several times, then let it dry with the dip tube open.

The set does not have a food-contact certificate and is not intended for packaging edible oils or other foods. The glass bottle can be reused after washing. The pump is harder to clean after use, so we recommend a new one when changing the product or when selling. For recycling, the glass and plastic parts are sorted separately.
