Gloss Black Glass Bottle, Black Spray, 10 ml

The glass bottle with a black fine mist sprayer, 10 ml, is a ready-made set for small quantities of sprayable products: samples and travel sizes of perfumes, body and hair sprays, facial toners and refreshing hand sprays. The black glossy glass limits the amount of light reaching the contents, which you will appreciate especially with perfume compositions and products containing essential oils. The sprayer screws onto the neck of the bottle and the contents are dispensed by pressing the head. The product is not opened during use, which also limits its contact with air.

The set is declared suitable for contact with cosmetic products. Only the glass bottle on its own has a certificate for direct contact with food; the set with the sprayer is intended for cosmetics as a whole.

What it is suitable for

• Perfumes and fragrance samples – the 10 ml volume corresponds to a standard travel or sample size, and the fine spray distributes the fragrance evenly over the skin or clothing.
• Facial and body sprays – toners, hydrosols or refreshing sprays for travel. The sprayer disperses thin water-based and water-alcohol liquids into a fine mist.
• Hair sprays and hair perfumes – light, thin solutions that are applied from a greater distance without direct contact with the scalp.
• Refreshing hand sprays – thanks to its small volume, the set fits into a handbag or pocket, and the black glass looks discreet even as a gift pack.

The sprayer works best with thin liquids. It will not spray thick oils, gels or emulsions, and with oil-based blends you should expect a coarser stream instead of a mist. We therefore recommend testing your specific formulation before larger-scale production.

Dispensing and volume

One press releases approximately 0.14 ml of product. A full bottle therefore yields about 70 sprays; the actual number depends on the viscosity of the contents and on how consistently you press the head. With perfumes that have a higher concentration of fragrance, such a small dose is an advantage, as the fragrance can be applied one spray at a time.

The nominal volume is the volume the packaging is designed for under normal filling. The brimful volume stated in the parameters is the physical volume of the glass up to the neck. The difference between them is a reserve for the tube and the body of the sprayer, which take up part of the space once screwed on. The bottle should therefore be filled to the nominal volume, not to the brim.

Good to know

Before first filling, wash the glass, disinfect it with isopropyl alcohol or ethanol and leave it to dry completely. Residual water in the bottle would make the perfume or oil-based contents cloudy. Before use, it is enough to pump the sprayer several times with clean water and let it drain. After filling and screwing on the sprayer, you will need to press the head several times to prime it until the tube and pump fill and the product starts to come out.

The glass withstands contact with alcohol and essential oils. The sprayer is made of polypropylene. For formulations with a high proportion of essential oils, we recommend checking the behaviour of the mechanism and the seal in the finished formulation, ideally with a test lasting several weeks.

You cannot see through the black glass how much of the contents remains. For samples that you give away, it is advisable to mark the filled volume on the bottle; for your own use, the quantity can be estimated from the weight of the bottle in your hand.

Both the bottle and the sprayer can be reused after thorough washing. When changing the contents, the sprayer must be pumped through with water and then with ethanol so that no residues of the previous fragrance remain in the tube and pump. For recycling, the set is taken apart: the glass goes with glass, the sprayer with plastics. Before disposal, let the tube and pump dry thoroughly without any product residues.
